Monroe Country Club

Nice course in that the play is great. Course is in outstanding shape and challenging. The staff is super nice and relaxed. Food selection is not good and the driving range is a mile away from the club house but all that aside the course is taken care of perfectly.. I will be playing it again because I have to beat the challenges it throws at me., and it's a fun course to play.

Great conditions, greens were fast but their club championshipwas the next day. Will play again.

We had to change carts after the 9th hole but both carts were struggling to make it through the course.

The Monroe CC is a throw back to traditional courses with heavily tree-lined fairways, terrain changes, and slick undulating greens. It is a fair test of skill: rewarding good shot making while penalizing bad shots. The fairways and greens generally are in very good shape, particularly for a course open to the public. Although the course is a good 30 minutes southeast of Charlotte, it is worth the trip and I have made it several times and plan to make more.

A great course and a great value. Excellent condition even though the greens were presently top dressed. Great traditional style course. I will definitely return to play this beauty.

The course and conditions exceeded my expectations. Plenty of space if you don't hit it straight and challenging enough if you do. The greens were fast and true. I will surely play Monroe Country Club more often.

Plays much shorter than posted yardage due to downhill tee shots on many holes. Front 9 is definitive Donald Ross with small greens that have break. Back 9 has slightly quickens greens. Overall a great course!!!

First time on this course. Laid out is great, very challenging. Greens were very fast on this visit.

Friendly folks here and nice course. have played several times. Live in Charlotte but we seriously lack good public courses that offer good value. Not a bad drive especially if you can avoid highway 74 and hit the back roads. Will certainly play again.

The course is in great condition. The tee-boxes and fairways are very nice. The greens are hard, fast and run true. The round ran an even 4 hours. All-in-all a good day on a nice course.

Best public course in Union County area. Golf carts could use an upgrade, but the course is in great condition for the middle of summer.

Played here for the first time and would definitely return. Front nine is tighter and greens are very challenging. Back nine is more open with larger greens. The course requires a sold short game. Played with my teenage son and we enjoyed the round Only complaint is the range is too far from the Pro Shop do plan on extra time if you want to hit balls.

The course is in excellent shape, greens are fanominal and very fast. Great value and great place to play.

Great course and great scenery. The driving range is a long way from the course so come early if you plan to warm up.

Nice layout with good overall conditions. Greens quick, but don't hold well. (Play short of pins) I would recommend this to anyone as a challenging, yet very playable track!

Grew up placing this couse when it was only 9 holes.
Wow how the conditions have improved. course is in great shape. greens had been punched 2 1/2 weeks ago and had healed nicely. Great job by superintendent and NicK and his staff
