Monroe Country Club

The course is nicely maintained, with straightforward layout and wide fairways. The front nine was designed by Donald Ross, so the greens are small and fast and treacherous. There are several parallel holes on the front nine, with players hitting errant shots into the wrong fairways. The staff that I encountered were fairly cold and detached. It wouldn’t hurt for them to be a little bit nicer.

Greens were quick and tiny - not ideal for my first time playing the course but could become more familiar with more play. Course still browned-out for winter but I will play it again once it is more green. A solid local club.

5 somes should not be allowed on days when the tee sheet is full. I am not another course at the level of MCC that would allow a 5 some when the course is crowded.

Been wanting to play this course for a while. Played on a warm winter day in February. Club house staff and starter were both very helpful and courteous. Driving range was a long cart ride from the clubhouse and there was zero grass to hit off of. Course layout is decent, but there are some very close holes together on the front nine. Greens are very small and very fast. Played as a single with a threesome. Probably the nicest group of guys of guys I have ever played with they were patient with my struggles on the first nine and encouraging. The price was a great value for a Saturday afternoon. I highly recommend this course for a fun round.

Course was in good condition, it was 90 degree because of rain the previous day.

These greens are tough to play in good conditions. This was a cold wet day and I thought the pin placements were unnecessarily difficult on more than half the holes. Greens keeper must not have had any loving in quite a while.

Very good conditions for January golf. After a frost delay the pace of play was consistently moving. Finished in three and a half hours. Greens were nice for the winter season, and fast. Fairways were dormant grass for this time of year. Various hole layouts, not just your up and back formations. Some shorter par threes mixed in. Recommend giving this course a go. Enjoyable.

Course was in good condition it was cart path only because of rain 2 days prior but not wet.

Course was in great shape. Greens were extremely fast. I lost 4-5 strokes due to approaches running thru the greens, and some three putts due to inability to stop putts on undulating greens. This is absolutely normal here, but I don’t play here enough to “know” the greens on each hole (and adapt accordingly). Frustrating, but it is what it is. Still, all in all, a very enjoyable round, as usual. Recommended!

Yesterday was the first time I played the course and it’s a good value. Relaxed environment, challenging course with the front 9 a different layout than the back 9 at a good price. The greens were fast and there were a lot of leaves on some of the holes. I will most likely play again.

Great track. Don't know if they can get the greens any faster. True to the roll just super fast and hard!. Love the course will be back soon. Highly recommend. Driving range is a great distance from the proshop. Suggest being there an hour early if you want to warm up.

Course is great, challenging and greens are perfect but fast.

These greens were the second fastest I've ever been on. I've been playing for 35 years and the greens were fast and true. The rough is a bit thick for this time of year. If you stay in the fairway and hit the greens scores can be made. This course asks the player to move the ball both directions. It is a test of skill. We enjoyed our round but the greens, rough and leaves made for a long day for the group in front of us. Will be back very soon!
