Great course Great shape very challenging course for not being real long

I paid $52 for a hot deal and for what I experienced I got all my moneys worth plus more. Very friendly and inviting staff and ranger. Course is full of beautiful views with so many water and bay holes. Fairways are in great shape nice and green and a little long to protect them. Likewise greens are a little long and slow but expected due to weather- they’re green and plush nevertheless. Will definitely be back!

This club has gone downhill rapidly in the past 6 months . The greens are in great shape but The management is non existent. the dining room is not open consistently. the servers are a mess wearing dirty uniforms with holes in them , and are extremely rude The clubhouse is in disrepair and when issues were brought to Alex or Richard They took no action. They don’t care about the guests or the upkeep of the clubhouse .. They cut corners aren’t even serving Sunday brunch anymore and turned what was once nice Friday night dinners into a nasty buffet . No thanks! much better service and value on the beach. It really has gone downhill in the past 6 months

Short but challenging course. Course was very scenic. I would definitely play again when I return to OBX.

Played Nags Head Golf Links on 8/4. Alex Anderson, the general manager, was extremely hospitable and accommodating! What a great experience. I played it several years ago and this time was a much better experience. I would recommend this course to anyone who is looking to play a round of golf while on vacation.

Overall the course and pace of play was great! The beverage cart staff were awesome and super friendly. But prior to getting on the course we were met with an incredibly rude and over assertive staff member who made us feel very unwelcomed. Although the experience on the course was great, the tone of the day was set right from the start. With as much money as was spent, I would expect a little more decency in how you speak to people. My first (and probably only) visit to OBX and wanted a course with holes on the water and a lovely links set up. Nags Head met every expectation in that regard. As for other, starter and marshals were very friendly; shop staff not so much. Also, restaurant stopped serving food at 3:00, so no chance for food at the turn if your round starts later than 1:00 or so.

Expected pace of play to be a challenge. The 2some we were paired with were a no show. so we went as a 2some. My biggest irritant was when we arrived at 16 tee box the 4 some on middle of fairway were getting beverages. I get it, it was a hot day.

The exchange took longer than expected and then they proceeded to look for their ball after transaction. We were on the 3.5 hour at this pt.. Not horrible.

Lack of consideration by others is'nt Nags fault, none the less we left fed up, irritated. and unsatisfied considering what we paid.

I have played this course probably almost 100 times in my life, but this was my first time after being away for 12 years.

When we played the wind was very strong at least 25 mph out of the southwest.

This course is not long by today's standards. I only used driver off the tee 4 times on the par 5s. The course punishes wayward shots. If you can't keep it in play you will lose golf balls. It is a great shot makers course in the wind.

The conditions were great given the weather and the amount of play this course gets. The tee boxes and fairways are kept at a higher height to protect them from burn out. The greens were kept at a traditional links speed. First to protect them and second if they were cut and double rolled the wind would blow the ball off the green.

The staff were great and I can't wait to play it again.

I’ve played a lot of golf but haven’t even played in conditions like this. It was a ton of fun but man the wind can really take your ball! Club up and hit some low shots

I was a single matched with a threesome. The starter went to move my bag from my cart to the cart with the threesome. I asked him to leave my bag on my cart. I said I paid my green fees and that included my cart. He rudely told me I’m not in charge, that I probably acted like this at home, and he rushed off muttering. Not acceptable behavior.

Whether you've played it 10x or its your first time...BUY A YARDAGE BOOK!! This is a total shot placement course and without guidance you wont have fun. That being said, one of the most fun courses I play. only 6,100 from black tees but wind can have a huge effect on that. Overall love the course
