Nags Head Golf Links

This course had a beautiful layout and is extremely well kept. Friendly and professional staff.

Course was fun. Open layout that helps out those of us with a slice. Grass was in good condition with fairly fast greens. Clubhouse amenities could have been better but nothing was bad. I only played the front 9 but may comeback for the full 18.

Greens were good and receptive. You have to know where to miss and where to layup.

Has a true links feel to it. Siundside holes. Wind blown. Challenging but not harsh.

Fun.

The course had been aerated the day before we played, even though the course website never mentioned it. Additionally only the front nine was open. Since we had already paid in advance we played the front nine twice.

When I mentioned this to the guy in the pro shop who checked us in, he just shrugged his shoulders

Another year, no $$ put into this gem. Over $100 (more on GolfNow than dealing direct). Paths worn, not well marked, conditions ehhh, no drink cart, slow tourist play.

Fun and challenging course with some beautiful views. Plenty of water to contender with as well as the breeze. The staff is very nice and they give you a good summary of some of the danger holes before you tee off. I look forward to playing Nags Head again in the future!

Unfortunately greens were aerated the day before. Balls bounced and didn't run true. Also unknown to me the back nine was closed for greens maintenance. Had to play front nine again. No warning from golf now for either issue. Would have payed less at the course on this day. Booked through GN days before but could have canceled if I had know. Redeemed one of my discounts which would have been better used at a later date when the course is in

shape. This is one of my favorite courses and would have liked to play the full course.

Very challenging. I look forward to playing the course again!!

I had the opportunity to play Nags Head Golf Links during a recent trip, and overall, it was a very enjoyable round. The course offers beautiful views and a solid layout that presents a good challenge—especially with the winds, which were absolutely relentless the day I played. It definitely added to the difficulty, but also made for a memorable experience.

The greens were in excellent condition, smooth and well-maintained, which really stood out. Fairways could use a little more attention, but given that it’s early April, it’s understandable and I imagine they’ll green up nicely as the season progresses.

The starter was friendly and informative, which helped set a great tone for the round. One downside was encountering a five-some on the back nine, which slowed things down a bit, especially on a Friday. It’s not something you typically expect during peak times.

That said, the course itself was really nice, albeit a bit on the pricey side. Still, the views and overall experience made it worthwhile. If I find myself back in Nags Head, I’d definitely come back for another round.

In spite of the 20+ mph NE winds and sometimes cold, we had a great day playing here. Course is challenging although the tall grass was cut down for the season. Always a pleasure playing here and every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpfull.

Very short holes from the Blue Tees. Being the first time playing I went by yardage and slope. I am by no way a long hitter but even from these sets of tees I found myself with less than driver.
