Crystal Coast Country Club
About
The Crystal Coast Country Club sits along the Bogue Sound, sprawling across sand dunes and weaving through the Maritime Forest. The club boasts the only golf course on the 21-mile island of Pine Knolls Shores. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course doesn't have the length that some other championship layouts have but there are still plenty of challenges in store. In addition to bunkers that are strategically placed along the small greens and narrow fairways, water comes into play on 13 holes. Though there are some tight spots that can be tough to navigate, the golf course is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy. Regardless of ability, you'll be able to enjoy beautiful scenery, especially on the back nine where you'll have the best views of the Sound.

Excellent renovation
We last played this course in 2018 or 2019 after significant hurricane damage left half the holes unplayable. The recent renovation has transformed this course. The greens were fast and pure. There was minimal ground under repair in some of the fairways. This is still a very tight course, especially the closing holes on the back. We will. be back to play again soon.
Fun course
Fun course for the money. Well maintained. The couple groups in front of us were pretty slow as they each had kids under 10 or so playing. But a great time on vacation. Would definitely play again.
Nice sheet course
Short course but very well maintained. 6000 yards from tips but that is a little deceiving since 6 par 3 holes. Plenty of water and very tight. New generation Bermuda greens and fairways. Roll true and ball sits up nicely. Really enjoyed the course and I’m a golf snob.
Beautiful Course
Course was in great condition. Would play again!
Fun course; friendly people
Always enjoy playing this course and the staff is really great. Will definitely play again when I come back to the beach.
Great Course
Played Crystal Coast for the first time with my brother-in-law and really enjoyed it. The course is fairly short, but challenging (multiple water holes). It was in great condition as well. The layout can be confusing to those unfamiliar with the course and the cart GPS systems are not great at showing the hole details, but minor inconveniences. Highly recommended.
Strict dress code enforced with my 15 yr old daughter
Very strict with dress code. We are on vacation and my 15 yr old daughter forgot to pack her collar shirt for golf. When we checked in they said nothing. It wasn’t until we were on their 90 yard “driving range” warming up that the starter said she has to have a collared shirt. Either get one or buy one. So I would not categorize this course as kid friendly or vacation friendly. Since we already paid we bought one for $80. That’s one way to get more money out of us. The starter said the owner wanted to keep the place nice since they have had to reseed the course and fix it up a lot recently. It’s their policy and they have every right to enforce it. But before we played there I had planned to play the next day if the course was nice but decided it’s better we help them keep their course “nice” and just not play it ever again including our future vacation to the isle. But I doubt they care.
Had a blast!
Played here on Memorial Day with the boys! Beautiful course as always and a ton of fun!
Great experience
The course conditions were great and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves
Fun course on the island
Fun course that was in great shape early in the season. Great golf cart technology and definitely recommend for folks visiting Emerald Isle, Pine Knoll Shores, or Atlantic Beach.
Great gem on Bogiue Banks
Not long course but but you are playing golf on an island! Sand and salt air. Course is in great shape and they make every effort to keep it that way. A cooperation from nature in the form of rain wouldn't hurt.
