About
The Crystal Coast Country Club sits along the Bogue Sound, sprawling across sand dunes and weaving through the Maritime Forest. The club boasts the only golf course on the 21-mile island of Pine Knolls Shores. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course doesn't have the length that some other championship layouts have but there are still plenty of challenges in store. In addition to bunkers that are strategically placed along the small greens and narrow fairways, water comes into play on 13 holes. Though there are some tight spots that can be tough to navigate, the golf course is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy. Regardless of ability, you'll be able to enjoy beautiful scenery, especially on the back nine where you'll have the best views of the Sound.

Crystal Coast Jewel
Lovely course offering variety in layout and natural habitat. This course was very pretty and required accuracy over water hazards. Greens were very fast. I had a wonderful time and enjoyed the beauty very much.
Great fun course !

Pricey ($70) without a hot deal but definitely worth $50ish with the deal. Course was in perfect shape. Lots of water and skinny fairways but beautiful layout and landscape.
Cool Course On The Island
Compact course on the island that is a lot of fun. Placement golf forces you to shoot at targets. Be prepared.
Beverage staff was amazing. Hats off to Grace for creating a drink on the fly. I order it on the regular now.

Pace of play
The pace was extremely slow. They had the front 9 aerated so they "PACKED" them in on the back 9.
An Unexpected Pleasure!
This is a very nice course. If you come and expect a typical beach course - lots of dunes and scrub grass - you might be surprised. While there are certainly plenty of holes along the bay that remind you the ocean is near, there are plenty of holes in tall trees with pine straw on the ground. It was a great mixture of surf and piney woods!
Nice little track
Short but challenging, especially on a windy day. Tight fairways, small landing zones requiring accurate tee-shots and approaches.

seems strange they held up starting to complete a foursome and on the second hole we let a single play through. the carts cut off in the parking lot if you travel at full throttle, they should warn you about that we went back to get another cart.

Since 1970........
.....when this course had sandy fairways (including sand spurs) this course has gotten better. I really enjoyed my recent outing. The course is in immaculate condition! PLAY IT and see for yourself.

Course poorly marked. Hard to find your way around

Great layout.
I think it would have been a lot nicer,if not affected by the hurricane.
Well worth it
Played this course beginning of November and while there was some residual damage to the fairways from the hurricane it was minimal at most and the greens with one exception were in excellent shape.
The staff was friendly and helpful and at $27.00 per person it was an absolute deal. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in town.
Terrible course
This course was so need of repair that it needs to be shut down for the season. There were several holes that could not be played . Some of the holes that were part of the play the day I went were not much better than the ones under repair . There were no yardage markers on cart paths and most of the fairways were not really marked . The staff was nice . I just wish that I knew thie course conditions when I booked . I would have played another course in the area . I would not play this course again if it was free.
