Decent Course
RGA is known to the locals as an “easy, laid back” place. It’s not a long course and not particularly hard either. The back 9 is slightly more challenging than the front 9. My main issue with the course is the “rough” is basically just dirt and rocks. It’s either fairway, or hard deadpan dirt and rocks. If they could grow up the rough around the edges it would be a lot better. The greens are also full of ball marks where nobody repairs them but not much you can do there.
Overall, a fun place to play when you want to shoot a low score and get some confidence in your game. Great track for beginners and new players.
Fun course
Course is short but fun. Only pulled driver out on a few holes. Greens were in good shape considering how busy the course is. The back 9 is more challenging than the front 9 due to narrow fairways. Pace of play was solid considering the mix of players and the number of players....finished in 4hrs 15mins. Only negative was some of the tee boxes on the back 9 had zero grass which took away from the experience.
RGA is the place to be.
Beginner golfer. Got a great deal on Golfnow, went by myself to get outta the house and shot and 82. The course is very open. My drive slices so much but i can play to it on the course to save par. Par 3’s are beautiful. Par 4’s aren’t to hard to get if you stay out of trees on either side. Definitely will go again!
Crowded
Course was crowded due to stay at home restrictions. Everyone is golfing but play was very slow. No starters around to keep play moving. Lots of beginners like to play this course due to shorter distance and wide open fairways. But worth going back maybe once workers go back to their offices and businesses.
RGA
This was my first time coming here. I was walking and People on a cart in front of me let me pass. Pace of play was terribly slow. Greens were slow and some fairways had large patches of dirt.
Don’t expect a nice relaxing time, expect a lot of stop and go. Saw many people with jean shorts And cut offs Sleeves and lots of beer cans around the tee boxes not in trash cans.
Very wide open fairways so if you’re a slicer you’ll be fine. It’s a good course from someone who’s new to the game.
OK course in Raleigh
Great staff working hard during difficult time with COVID 19. Greens in poor shape. Pace is very slow. We had a group of 7 in front of us, some playing golf while others treating the course like a public park, loud music, dancing, singing, giving “lessons” to each other. I have to say I have never seen this type of behavior on a golf course.
Vivid-19 golf
The staff did everything to maintain social distancing and was very efficient and friendly. Course was in great shape!! Definitely be back!!!
Average course
Course was in decent shape but several areas and tee boxes were very torn up. There are clearly lots of beginners here as greens were littered w unfixed pitch marks. Overall, it’s a decent course and staff was very friendly and accommodating. Prices offered on course may beat online prices. Call ahead.
Great Value Course
Greens were in very good shape for March. The course layout is fun and interesting. Tee boxes were ok, fairways average, bunkers very good, and greens were fast and well maintained. This is my go to quick and fun round in triangle.
Pace of play
I think the course was definitely over booked today.
Ballstriker paradise
Great holes on a small amount of land. Greens in great shape. It’s a great Junior and Senior course.
Great course
A beautiful day for golf. I enjoyed the course in spite of the cart path only conditions from the rain.
A good day out
A decent 50 degree day. Just wanted to play golf. RGA was perfect today as there weren’t that many people out. Played 3 hours as a two some. Course in good condition for winter play.
Great course
This course was great for my skill level and never seems over crowded. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
Must play course, oldest course in raleigh nc
Go play enjoy, excellent for everyone from beginners to advanced.
This was a decent course in Raleigh. Cart path is awful but greens are fine. The rough is easy to hit out of but hard to find a ball. Front layout was tricky for a first timer. Lots of holes in a small space make the cart path a bit tricky in the front. Almost played the wrong hole at 6 with all of the tee boxes right there. No driving range but nice pitching area and putting area. Carts held up and all the coolers had water. Staff was amazing. I will be going back. Perfect to walk 9 for $20.
