Beautiful Day
Had a nice time yesterday. Weather was great course was in great shape. Greens and fairways were very good. The ruff out of control thick. Play was really slow! Had a 5 some in front of us on the back 9 that would not let us through. Put the course is definitely worth the money Just bring your paitence.

Too slow
Raleigh country club members are playing this course as there private club is getting the greens redone. This made for an agonizing round crawling around the course, watching older guys every hole...
Either too many groups playing too slow or the starter not putting groups out together, not sure but won't be going back for while. Sad because I do like this course, used to be great...

This course is a good value.
I had a fantastic time. Met up with two other seniors and we had fun. Oh, by the way I scored a hole-in-one on the The Stockholders #5. That always makes it fun!
The cost for this course makes it affordable for everyone. A good deal for the mone;y.

Confidence Boost!
This course is a Raleigh classic. Very forgiving and straightforward. I'm a 15 handicap and have broken 80 a few times. Fun to play and a great place to go if your game needs a little confidence boost!

Needs some grass seed
The course had a LOT of bald spots. You had to cross a fairly busy street twice, so there is THAT challenge. People were friendly, pace was good

Good Shape and Good Value
This wasn't my first time at RGA and won't be my last. RGA is a fairly easy course, the front 9 is very open and the back is a little more tricky with more woods so it's easier to OB. The course was in good shape for the early season (first day of spring). This isn't an amazing course but when you're paying $30 or less, it's definitely good for what you pay. Staff is friendly, pace of play is usually normal.

Cheap course, but needs work
I went to this course as a recommendation for beginners due to the large fairways and not too difficult greens. The fairways were all pretty much dead, nothing but the greens were actually green. The staff was great though, and very nice to deal with. If you're looking for an easy course that's cheap, its good. Outside of that, it's very average at best.

Nice Track
I really liked the layout. The greens were in good shape. The staff was friendly.Met a couple off stock holders that were very friendly. New to the area. This will be one of my regular courses to play.

Fun Layout
RGA has 3 nines. Have played here several times but this was the first time playing the Stockholders 9. Course plays under 6, 000 yds from the back tees. IMO, Stockholders is the prettiest and most fun of the nines. Greens were a bit slow but in good condition. Several short par 4's but some great par 3's. Good play on a Hot Deal.

Weather has taken its toll
While this course is very forgiving for errant shots, the recent monsoon conditions has taken its toll. The greens were in good shape. No driving range just a putting and chipping area.
We appreciate your recommendation despite the recent weather, uvacavman. We have been working hard to keep the course playable as long as the weather permits and hope that you'll be out to visit us again soon!
Worth the time
Course was in good shape and even though busy, pace of play was better than expected. Greens were in really good shape.

Poor Condition
I've played here several times a year for 7 years and its the worst condition I've seen the place. The greens were tall, very slow, and quite a few blemishes causing the ball to hop the whole way. It is also notorious for players not fixing their ball marks, which isn't the courses fault, but is quite frustrating. Several of their fairways have bare edges that are practically like a rock which is also quite comparable to their bunkers (if you would call them that). They look like bunkers but play like you are hitting off cement. Several of the bunkers didn't have rakes but they weren't really necessary as you would barely even leave a footprint while walking in them. It's a shame to see the place like this as it isn't a bad course, but they seem to have just let the place go recently.

Cut the grass
Please please please cut the grass. A Marshall or starter would be nice so we don't have to wait 30 minutes to tee off at every hole. Probably won't be back

Solid Course
Course was well kept, but some greens were fast and others were slow (really frustrating). That is my only complaint.

Greens are terrible for price of course
The course was ok. The tee box and greens were in horrible condition and they were a year ago also. For the price of a round I would expect a better quality course.
