Creek at Carolina Trace Country Club

Good conditions for a winter golf day. Course was enjoyable and fair but sufficiently challenging as most RTJ courses are.

I loved the layout but the course from tee and including greens were covered in pine needles and oak leaves. I guess the course doesn’t invest in blowers. We played the Creek course As we were leaving we pasted by the lakes course and didn’t see a single leaf anywhere. Do they treat the creek course as their lost child and don’t take care of it.

Greens are in shape and staff very friendly. Can’t wait to play here again

Greens were a little hairy but just slower than “lightning fast” this past summer. I am always happy at the Trace. I prefer the creek course but the lake is as good as or better.

Good course with a lot of potential. Beautiful day but lots of repair spots and bunkers were a disaster. Unplayable. Lots of debris from a storm but that was two weeks ago. Will try it again in a few weeks as I just moved to the area.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The course was empty, so pace of play was excellent. However, the cart path was extremely rough with lots of bumps and is in need of repair/replacement. The fairways had some weeds and bare spots while the greens were in good shape.

Waited one hour for a cart ,past our tee time for our cart, only to have it given to another 2 some that had a tee time after us. We were not told they were having a tournament playing both 18 hole courses on the same day. Did not have enough carts to accommodate the players reserved for the day, although there was room on the course. A very poorly managed golf course. If you are having a member only or a tournament taking up space and cart, you should close course to public or golf now reservation play. No reason for me to continue. I will not be playing this course again.

They seem to be still recovering from the effects of the last hurricane. Bunkers are not in good shape and lots of limbs down in first rough. Paths and hole sequence is a little confusing but will try again soon

Everything was amazing, only recommendation would be to tell people to stock up on beer and food for the Creek since you don’t pass the club house at the turn.

Luckily I got the Hot Deal on Golf Now because I can't even imagine paying $144 for this course. I paid $50ish and feel like that was too much.

After driving over an hour, I arrived at a course that was in very poor shape. Tee box grass was long, there were weeds all over the place, and just generally ratty conditions.

The only plus was that I was literally the only person on the course... on a Sunday. This course was a major bummer. I hear that the Lake Course is nicer, but I don't plan on driving that far to find out.

Overall could be a good course but not really worth the money. The fairways and rough had mowed clippings all over the place and it looked like they don't mow anywhere near enough. The greens were very inconsistent. The layout was ok and the greens were on the small side. I might play here again but wouldn't go out of my way to do so.

Its a nice course but too many blind shots for my liking. Condition was fine. Nice meal in grill after golf. I would play again.

Greens, traps and fairways all nice with occasional weeds or grass clippings getting in your way. Lost a ball in grass clippings on 16th just off fairway. Not for the golfer looking for straight par 4s, this is hilly with doglegs and some blind shots. Placing drives in good locations is helpful as the 2nd shots are challenging. I would certainly play again as enjoyed the lay out.
