Cleveland Country Club

Recently aerated and sanded greens notwithstanding the course was in great shape for the heat of the summer. Challenging pin placements and green conditions made for higher scoring than usual, nevertheless, this was a very good round of golf on a nice course at a very reasonable price.

I hope I get to play this course again, now that I know the layout a bit better. It's in good shape. Greens had been aerated 7 days prior but are coming along nicely considering we haven't had much rain. Friendly staff. Awesome pace of play (maybe 4-5 other groups on the course). Restaurant was closed.

Fun layout and great course! Only issue was the greens had been punched recently so they should have reduced fee to play.

Cleveland Country Club is an incredible golf experience. A very forgiving and open tee shot from all holes. The challenge comes from the approach shot to the green. Many are elevated greens with some traps and many undulating mounds protecting the sweet spots. And then there are the greens - great size, solid putting surface, and challenging reads. And they are in immaculate condition. I haven't been on greens like these since walking back to the car after the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow. I just had to walk on one of their greens to see and feel what a professional green was like. CCC's greens are just as cut, sturdy, and undulating. We played on a hot July afternoon and the course was in top shelf condition. If you haven't played this course, you must. It is the best course in Cleveland County, NC.

My tee time was at 2 pm so I arrived about 1:30 pm. When I walked into pro shop I told the person working I had a tee time at 2. I asked for a small bucket of balls and the person informed me they don’t have a driving range. So I said this is my first time playing here do you have a greens book or any information about the course other than scorecard and they advised they were out and didn’t offer to provide any information on course. Then I started my round and there wasn’t anyone behind me. Then I get to 3rd hole and I noticed there was a 2some behind me. I got to the 8th hole and the guys behind me began hitting prior to me being off green and one of their balls nearly hit me. So then after another hole or two they zoomed past me to hole in front of me so then I had to wait for them. I was apprehensive about playing here because I figured this kind of stuff would happen from the members here. The course was in good shape and so were greens but the staff, members and everything else about the round was terrible. Will not play here again.

Fun layout, decent condition, relatively slow (but true) greens.

Caught a hot deal on golfnow and play for 30$. Course was in great shape and the staff was amazing, I'll definitely go back even without a hot deal.

Heck of a course! Grounds-crew have done an excellent job to keep the course afloat despite the recent drought. Traps were raked exceptionally well and tee boxes striped to perfection. Rough sat nicely and had no complaints about greens. Spoke to a groundsmen named Louis whilst he was weed eating and had a very friendly conversation.

When I am able to play "private" courses, my expectations are higher than normal. Nothing to write home about this course and course conditions not impressive at all. Greens were great , staff was friendly...other than that, it was your average course NC. Nothing made me feel like I wanted to play it again.

Great track... you better be able to hit it straight and long... great test from Blue Tees... lots of blind shots, so I suspect the next round will be a touch easier... front and back are completely different... back is much harder... fun track... we played as a twosome on a Sunday at 10am in 3 hours! Awesome...

Good value at a nice course using hot deal on GolfNow. The course is fun and challenging… Because it’s early in the season, the fairways requite hard and especially around the greens, hard to get from… Greens were spectacular, and some of the pin placements tricky, but super fun. The only snacks that were available were in the pro shop, as only members are allowed in the snack bar/restaurant. I would definitely play again if I were in the area…
