Talamore Golf Resort

Got a hot deal for $42 and omg what an amazing track. Usually see this course over $100 and was a little worried that for $42 I’d find aerated greens or something but the course was absolutely prime. My favorite in the Pinehurst area and that includes #2. Fun challenge. Wonderful mixture of holes and great condition.

1st time playing This course and I have to say it was all that I expected. Course was in excellent condition and the greens were some of the best I have ever played. Look forward to the next time, will definitely be back

My first 5 star review goes to Talamore without hesitation. Wonderful and extremely friendly staff. Great and challenging course layout. Course management is helpful to score well on this track and there are a few holes that reward hitting bombs. Fluffy and true sand traps. Well manicured fairways. Nice carts with accurate gps. Dirt cart paths were smooth as pavement. But the real victory are the pristine greens! Fast and smooth like the ones on tour. If you’re thinking about playing Talamore, do it and enjoy.

First time playing since the redo. Everything was in great shape. Greens are one of the best in the area.

Always a great time at Talamore. Eventhough it was cart path only and there were a few wet spots, the course was in good shape. Greens are very good.

Upon arrival, I was enthusiastically greeted by both the starter and pro. Everything was great. The course was in excellent condition. I played 18 in only 2&1/2 hours! How great is that? Definitely will be back. Excellent value as well.

This course is well maintained and has a nice layout. Lots of undulations on course that makes it challenging but very fair course. Staff was very friendly as well

Talamore has a great layout and offers many demanding shots. The course was I good shape but quite wet from rain the day before. The greens were still true and fast. This is a course to play if visiting the Pinehurst area.

We returned to play Talamore again after having played it last year for our boys golf trip down from Ontario, Canada. Excellent condition again and enjoyed the parkland layout. Although it was quite busy, the pace of play was good and you didn't really see many foursomes because of the trees lining the fairways. Terrific greens and lush fairways. A very good test for all golfers. Will definitely be back to play Talamore next time we're in town..

What a great course for the money. Course was in great condition with soft sand. The greens were especially challenging - fast and usually broke more than anticipated. Top it off with $3.50 Bloody Mary..

This was a course that I was looking forward to, and I was not disappointed. Even though it was cart path only, it gave me a better view of the landscaping and the amount of talent it takes to design such a course. I did get to see the white Lama, as she was kind enough to be laying in front of the door. A wonderful experience all around.

Deb and I had a great time playing this course. The greens were slick and while we had to walk (cart path only because of the recent rain) we really enjoyed the experience.

Talamore is a fine course. With the exception of the premiere Pinehurst courses, (Pinehurst Resort, Mid Pines, etc), Talamore is better than most you will find in the area. However, the course is way overpriced for what it is. Green fees were $129 for an afternoon round in October. I’ve played many, many courses for far less that we’re much better courses. Their fees are what they are because it is in Pinehurst, and that’s really the only reason. But worse, even at a $129 rate, they had the audacity to charge for range balls. Not kidding. Overpriced fees aside, the course was in good shape. Conditions of the tees, fairways, and greens were far better than what you’ll find at places like Southern Pines, Whispering Pines, or Foxfire type courses. Even during drought conditions, fairways were lush. Greens were very good. It’s a nice course, but I would only play it in the off-season unless you don’t mind paying $130+ for a round of golf.
