Resort Course at Talamore Golf Resort is a Rees Jones masterpiece that was nominated as "Best New Public Course of the Year" when opened and has become a regular stop for annual returnees to Pinehurst.

The centuries-old tradition of using llamas to help humans carry packs has been revived with a new twist at Talamore. These gentle, hardy animals can carry two bags of clubs with ease and sure-footedness. Their soft padded feet are kind to the delicate surfaces of a golf course. Known for their friendly and quiet manners, llamas make the perfect caddies. Now you can treat yourself and your friends to a truly distinctive golf experience.

Scouting trip

Playing this course on a guys trip in September. Had a chance to scout it. The course had just been punched this week so the greens were bumpy and could not get a good read ( to be expected after punching). Course layout is good and right in front of you. The sod wall bunkers add a challenge if you are in them. Looking forward to September and the greens rolling smooth and true. And the temps being normal.

Fantastic course

Great shape, stellar maintenance. All-around fantastic experience! Starter talked a little negatively about other courses in the area, but that was the only offputting moment of the day. Highly recommend this course

Great condition

First time playing in the Pinehurst area and loved this course. Hot Deal made for great value in my opinion. Starter let me off earlier than my tee time, since I was playing alone. Finished in 2.5 hours. Wonderful condition!

Amazing course great staff

Starter was super friendly and the free drops out of backyards rule was used a few times lol. Beautiful condition and the halfway house bar was very efficient. I couldnt give it a full 5 stars only because ive been to a few nicer pro shops but still a lot of cool merch. LOVE THE LLAMA LOGO😂

Great course and outstanding value

It should be noted that we only paid $89 with a GolfNow hot deal but Talamore was well worth $150 relative to what we paid for other area courses. Great layout and conditions for mid April.

Decent resort golf

Decent course. For the price I thought it was middle of the road. If you are paying $150+ for a round of golf I would expect to have the range balls included. They charged $3 per small bucket. To top it off the range balls where probably the worst I have ever played with. Dirty and hard. It tough to get in the swing of golf when you are hitting dirty rocks before the round. Front 9 was mediocre. Back 9 was much nicer.

Pot Bunkers Beware

Talamore is a must play on any Pinehurst golf trip. The bunkers provide a very unique experience to the area’s other courses. Extremely good course. Book and go play. You won’t regret it.
