About
The 500 Club (formerly known as Fox Den Country Club and Larkin Golf Club) is a premier entertainment destination for the Lake Norman region. This relaxed club with NASCAR roots provides a laid-back experience, quick pace of play, and plenty of entertainment to make it a destination. World-ranked Head Golf Professional and Assistant Professional offer private and group lessons and clinics. While the course is on the shorter side, the elevation changes and native grass areas make it challenging and strategic. Pace of play is the focus in every round so pick your tees by average driving distance, use the drop zones if needed, and play "Ready Golf" to keep your round moving. Starters, Rangers, and the Pro Shop staff will keep you well informed on any tips that might be useful for the day.

Golfer Reviews
Fine for the money
The course is fine for the money but overall conditions of the course weren’t great. The greens were bumpy, and off the fringes were not in good shape at all. Gives an option online to walk if you have 2 or 4 people, but the pro shop employee said walking isn’t allowed “because the manager says so”. No starter or anyone monitoring the pace of play on the course. Didn’t use the driving range but it looked it poor condition.
Great course. Good challenge.
The course has a great layout. Front nine plays like a mountain course. The back nine was more flat. Grab snacks. The snack bar wasn’t open. The pro shop didn’t know if the snack at was open and left it up to us to check.
A hungry back nine, but still had a great time.
Decent greens, some tough holes
I found the first green a little bumpy, but the rest were pretty good. Does not have a real range. Still worth the hot deals on golf now.
Great golf for a great fee
For the winter time, Course is in great shape. Real nice new carts and not much of a wait time. Friendly staff and overall great experience.
Nice Course Great Staff
Course is failed fun and greens were pretty good They are replacing the greens with Bermuda soon Owner was very friendly His wife made some cookies that were delicious ! Enjoyed my round
Greens in good shape
Decent course with good greens. Winter conditions with some sloppy fairways and lots of divots.
Great course!
One of the best courses in the Charlotte area for the $. I highly recommend you make the 35 minute drive north and play this. You will not be disappointed…or poor. Much much better than courses like old sycamore that charge $80
Much nicer than years past!
Hard to believe just how much this place has improved in recent years! This shows its newest ownership understands the golf industry. The only thing I can possible complain about with Larkin is its very small warm-up range. Other than that the facilities are very nice & modern. Course conditions were great as well.
