About
Winding Creek Golf Club in Thomasville is an 18-hole municipal course that is one of the most affordable rounds in the area. It is a regulation-length layout that measures 6,367 yards from the tips. The design is a true target-golf test that is player friendly enough for beginners but will also challenge more advanced players. The golf course is perched atop one of the highest points in Davidson County. From elevated tees and greens you can enjoy dramatic views as well as some intimidating shots. It's a golf course that will most likely have you using every club in your bag. Though there is plenty of variety, the course isn't too formidable for high handicappers. In addition to the golf course, Winding Creek also has a putting green and driving range that you can use for warming up.

Tough course
Tough course, and one of the best values around the area
Nice course
Lots of hills and hard/no vis for some spots to see the hole. Challenging yet fun. Staff was nice. Food is good. Ladies restrooms could use some TLC. But otherwise nice. Very nice pro shop.
Nice course but don't leave gear in your cart
I enjoy playing at Winding Creek. It's a fun course for the money. However, this is the second time that I, or one of my group, has left a GPS or range finder in our carts, only to go back the next day and be told they didn't have it. So, if you play here, be sure you double check your carts before you turn them in.
Great course for the money!
Great course, a lot of fun. Simi challenging.
The course is in pretty good shape, with the exception of the cart path, and some areas around the cart path. Even better course for the money when getting it on a HOT DEAL
Loved It !!
My first time playing this course and I think it’s my new favorite. Pace of play was a little slow, but really not bad for a Sunday afternoon. Greens and fairways were in very good condition. But most of all, I just loved the layout. A little of everything. Some wide open “grip it and rip it” fairways and a few that required a more precise approach.
Driving range was a little rough, but it was grass.
All in all, just a great experience and I can’t wait to go back.
Great course for the price
This course was in very good shape and had nice amenities. The course had a mix of links style holes and regular holes with trees on either side. The staff was friendly and helpful. The price was very good. Certainly worth playing and I would definitely come back!
Course was in decent shape for the price. Pleasantly surprised at how fast and true the greens were.
Good Muni to Play
Meets the need of my game. One day I will solve the riddle that is #6
Nice Course.
Nice course, fairways were in great condition, cut at a nice height, was a small 2nd cut. Greens were in good shape, nice speed even at midday round. Only negative thing is not even Winding Creeks fought, Please where ever you play fix your Divots on the Greens. Something that only takes a second to fix correctly but will cost everyone if not taken care of. Nice club house great inventory. Great practice area, Nice range, really fair priced per bucket range balls have had there fair share of hits on them, but can hit mats or grass. Awesome chipping area with a sand bunker and every shot and lie you would need to practice around the green. Putting Green in great shape and condition gives you a variety of options. Overall great course in great shape and opportunity for different shots using every club. Pace of play is really slow, maybe alternate tee times from front 9 to back 9. I don’t run a golf course so all I can do is give an opinion. Staff is Top Notch at the clubhouse and snack bar, happen to run in to any staff member around the course and you feel like you’re a member. Have and will continue to recommend playing Winding Creek an look forward to playing there again soon.
Great Course
This is a nice course. You have to play it a few times to learn the layout and probably 10 rounds to learn all of the slopes. There's not many flat lies so you'll play about every shot you know and some you don't but you'll learn some new shots. It's a fun course to play. If you learn it and bring some friends for their first time to play there you'll probably take there money.
