About
Deercroft Golf Club is located just 20 minutes South of Pinehurst has twice been the site for PGA qualifying schools as well as PGA Senior tour qualifying events. Readers of golfweek have voted Deercroft one of "America's Best Courses" for six consecutive years.
The course features lush fairways, manicured bent-grass greens and views that are out-of-this world.
Probably because of the few extra minutes' drive necessary to reach the course, the green fees are among the most reasonable in the area, especially when you consider the quality of the golf.

Golfer Reviews
After the Rains
Played the day after heavy rain, temperatures in the low 50's, fairways were dormant, greens were in good shape. Staff was great, gave us the rundown on the course. Hard to give justice after a day of heavy rain.
Great greens
Very enjoyable course ,in good condition for the
season. Look forward to playing it a number of
times when visiting the area.
Great value
Great course!
Played in late march after a long winter - greens are in great shape, running fast and true. Course renovations are paying off! A great value in Pinehurst area.
Very good greens.
Course was in good shape for the time of year. Greens were very good, consistent.
Only complaint was time it took to play. Over 5 hours, course was packed but first pretty day of the week so it was expected.
fun to play
Fun to play, Played in winter they were working on course. Should be even better when completed their improvements. Will, Willing play again.
Course reborn!
Played course for the first time in many years and had a great day at Deercroft. Course has new owner Ted Robinson who has made it his passion to restore the course to premier status. And he's doing a great job. Greens are excellent bent grass and tees and fairways are very good. Lots of tree removal has enhanced views and made this rolling Sandhills course very enjoyable. Owner Ted and staff could not have been more welcoming and Ted will want to get to know every golfer and make sure you have a great day. Will definitely be back and Golfnow.com deals can't be beat.
Great Layout and awesome staff.
The only thing and I mean the only thing is the cart paths are the worst I've seen. If you have any back issues, don't ride on the cart paths! You jump up and down in your cart all day and if you have new forged clubs and don't use headcovers, they'll have scratches and nicks all over the chroming. But the big thing is the cart paths. Have any disc problems, you will after you play this course. Other than that...I had a real nice time on a challenging course. Greens were fantastic. Will play again.
Great course to work on all elements of game.
The course was in great condition. Greens were some of the best I've this year.
Good layout and challenging greens!
Course is in very good shape; greens are excellent. Greens had been cut in the morning and had speed to go with challenging been placements (on edges of slope breaks). Many good changes to course. Only complaint is sand traps around greens. They need much work; sand is very thin and hard-packed. But still a great value for course.
Excellent Course
Greens were near perfect, with some good slopes to work through. Fairways were well groomed. A very intersting course without a lot of crowd to content with. We had a twosome and played through one foursome at #4, then it we didn't see the group in front of us until teeing up on 18. Excellent course and pace of play. An easy 20-25 minute ride from Pinehurst, it was worth the drive. Only downside was greenside sand traps were pretty hardpacked.
Great greens! Great price
This course gets better every time I visit. Nice people, wonderful greens and fairways, and a great value. The cart path is a little ruff in places, but that is really the only thing I felt needed some work. Everything else is perfect. We have several golf courses that are closer to home, but I would rather drive the extra miles to this one.
greens and fairways are spectacular
course is under new ownership.they are renovating landscaping, cartpaths etc.couple of more years it will be top shelf.very reasonable rates
Nice little course a bit away from the crowd
When I fly into NC from AZ, typically twice a year, I always make a point to play this course. The staff is very nice, the course is always kept in great condition and is actually getting better. The course has never been crowded and I love the solitude and laid-back feeling.
Great place to play
Every time I play Deercroft it gets better and better. The greens where very good. Just about no bad spots on them. Greens are a little slow but I think it is because they were a little long. Fairways were well manacured and well maintained. The ruff was a little scruffy but if you stayed out of the ruff you will have a great game. Course has enough challenges to make it enjoyable for a mid handy capper.
A good number or really challenging hol;es.
New owner of the course is making allot of improvements to the course. Fairways have been widened throughout the course. All the greens were in excellent shape.
Great value. The course is in good condition, a steal for the price.
There are a few areas under repair, but overall the course is in really good shape and the price is very cheap. I love playing out there. It's only about 15-20 min south of town, not too far away at all.
Interesting course.
Course maintained but not yet to pristine conditions. Fairways in good shape with very nice greens. Pleasure to play with interesting layouts of holes. When this course is in superb condition it really is going to be fun to play as long as you avoid the bunkers and love grass (tall and nasty).
A Hidden Gem
This course went through a rough patch for several years they are now under new ownership, I am originally from this area and remember when this course opened. It has a great lay out and the greens were like a pool table and the fairways were very nice Bermuda. I have played all over and this GC I would put up there with about any I have played the price is a STEAL staff outstanding there are some areas that need improvement but that is mostly just cosmetic between the tree lines this course is very nice!!!!
