Deercroft Golf Club is located just 20 minutes South of Pinehurst has twice been the site for PGA qualifying schools as well as PGA Senior tour qualifying events. Readers of golfweek have voted Deercroft one of "America's Best Courses" for six consecutive years.
The course features lush fairways, manicured bent-grass greens and views that are out-of-this world.
Probably because of the few extra minutes' drive necessary to reach the course, the green fees are among the most reasonable in the area, especially when you consider the quality of the golf.

Great experience
I have been playing Deercroft for about 20 years now. I live in Cincinnati and visit the area a couple of times a year. I have always enjoyed this course because I grew up playing with my Dad and Grandpa, and that helped with the nostalgia, but now I have other reasons to love the course. The new management have done a tremendous job making this course absolutely enjoyable to play. The fairways were a 9 out of 10 and the greens were fantastic. I would highly recommend if you are in the Pinehurst area to take the 15 mile trip to play Deercroft. Did I fail to mention the price is right!!!
Great layout
Great layout. Course in great shape although greens were punched a few weeks ago, so that's to be expected. Very picturesque holes.
Work in Progress
Clearly the new owners are spending some money to rehab this course. Don't believe their ads. Much work remains to be done. That said, the course is nice track which is in fairly good condition. The greens were excellent but a little slow. Fairways were also very nice with only few problem areas. The tee boxes were hit or miss. Half had little grass and were uneven, while the only half were great. The driving range is a mess. They don't use mats but haven't renovated the range so you hit off dirt and weeds.
The price reflects the current condition and the overall value was excellent.
great layout
Enjoyed the course and this was my wife's first time here. The next time we play here will be better since the greens had just been worked on.
This course has improved immensely
Having heard it was under new management we decided to try Deercroft again. It was a pleasant surprise to see all the improvements that had been made. We will certainly play again.

The golf course is in good condition given the cool spring we have had. The greens are in very good condition. There looks to a lot of clean up and improvement projects in progress. This course offers an excellent value for the area.

Course conditions are PGA level with super fast greens! The course can be really challenging!
Pleasant surprise Great staff
We hadn't played Deercroft in a long time, this was a pleasant surprise. The course was in great shape. Greens rolled true and fairways good. It's also a beautiful course. The ladies working there made us feel welcomed and had great attitudes. Only about a 45 minute drive for us from Fayetteville. We will for sure return.

Hospitality and friendliness are first rate, greens were in good shape, recommend for the price.
Best value in pinehurst area
Course is very good. Quite a few interesting holes. Ted the PGA pro owner was great. He gave us a good run down of how to play the course. Condition was very good for this time of the year especially compared to some of the neighbouring courses. We had a fun day
Great Value, Perfect Greens and an even Better Staff
This is the third year that we have taken our golf trip down to Southern Pines and the third year we have played Deercroft. This is the only course that everyone on the trip agrees to go back to. The lay out is awesome, it is never too crowded and the course is always kept in top shape. Ted and the staff have done a great job improving the course every single year. You will truly play every club in your bag. As awesome as the course is, what really keeps us coming back is Ted, Phil, Jennifer and the rest of the staff. They have gone above and beyond what is expected with every oppurtunity. We couldn't ask for a better experience that what is consistently presented at Deercroft.
After the Rains
Played the day after heavy rain, temperatures in the low 50's, fairways were dormant, greens were in good shape. Staff was great, gave us the rundown on the course. Hard to give justice after a day of heavy rain.

Great course!
Played in late march after a long winter - greens are in great shape, running fast and true. Course renovations are paying off! A great value in Pinehurst area.

Course was in good shape for the time of year. Greens were very good, consistent.
Only complaint was time it took to play. Over 5 hours, course was packed but first pretty day of the week so it was expected.

Fun to play, Played in winter they were working on course. Should be even better when completed their improvements. Will, Willing play again.
