Deercroft Golf Club

Great course for this time of year! Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Ted welcomed me with open arms to the course and for that alone I will be back.

We played two days after heavy rain. The course doesn’t appear to drain well, and it was extremely wet through many fairway locations. Greens rolled slow. Nothing very memorable with layout. The two folks working in the bar and the pro shot were very nice, but they were seemingly the only people working and were having to do it all. Was excited reading some other reviews but mostly disappointed

I played as the course was recovering from a qualifying event where the grass was stressed, so it was pretty wet, but that didn’t detract from how great the course was. Fantastic staff that was extremely friendly and appreciative of us being there. Definitely going back.

It had rained before we played but over all, the course played just fine. The staff was very nice. They had the prettiest cart girl I have ever seen. The only drawback was the cart paths. My back was hurting just a little and the guy driving almost hit every low spot there was. Did I tell you about the cart girl?

Has the potential to be a gem in the Pinehurst area with some interesting holes. Mostly designed for older players with wide fairways and relatively simple green complexes. Unfortunately most of the greens were baked out with a number of dead spots, and the ones that weren’t were kept very long and rolled very slow.

Squeezed in a round on the way to Ocean Isle Beach. I was so glad to have picked Deercroft as the course was in good condition and played with a couple of great guys. If you are looking for all-around 5-star amenities - this is likely not the place for you. However, if it is all about the golf, friendly service, and scenery - Deercroft ranks highly with the best of the courses in the greater Pinehurst area. Outside of the resort courses, and Pine Needles and Mid Pines - and with the price point - Deercroft should be in that next tier of course consideration when you next travel to the area.

My father in law and I played here. The course conditions were great and the staff were friendly. I look forward to go back again soon.

Never been here felt like it’s a hidden gem. First nine have to play your distances right. Second nine straight forward need to score. Coolest thing I’ve seen they have USB ports on both sides of the cart and also Bluetooth speaker can’t ask for anything better

Layout challenging for all skill levels. Bent grass greens offer different putting surfaces than most area courses. Fairways generally in play it down condition. Good value for $$.

Deercroft is in great shape, from their soft greens to their tees and fairways. Their greens roll very true. The staff at Deercroft is by far the best. They truly do everything they can to make sure you enjoy your round. Their kitchen also is very good, I highly recommend their cheeseburger and fries. This is definitely a must play course!

Deercroft is a Hidden Gem in the Sandhills area. While it’s a few miles out of the way from Pinehurst it’s well worth the trip. Always in great shape, the staff are just wonderful and welcoming with the value being the best in the area. We always look forward to our return to Deercroft and I highly recommend it to others, you won’t be disappointed.

We played Deercroft this past July. The group was on a 4 day excursion playing courses in the Southern Pines area. Of the 4 courses we played (Pine Needles, Southern Pines, Talamore, and Deercroft) Deercroft was perhaps the least sleek, but the course, and course condition was as good as any of the others (and better than Southern Pines). The staff was very accommodating and eager to assist w/anything we asked for, or needed. Great experience. Jewel of a course for the money.

This course is a bit of a hidden gem. Tee to green few courses in the area have held up against the summer heat as well as Deercroft has! Highly recommend playing here!

I’ve golfed at this course several times over the last few years. Over this time, they have undergone management change and have done tons of work to better the course. The cart paths are rough due to the hurricane last year, but they realize the opportunity and have a plan to get them in better shape. I would highly recommend this course.

Awesome course, greens roll very true and smooth. Fairways are excellent. Pace of play very good, staff is the friendliness staff I’ve ever witnessed.
