Lake Junaluska Golf Course

Drove a hour and thirty five minutes and greens was punch and topped off with to much sand

Played with a guy and his wife and brother. Nice local people who were happy to show me the blind drives etc (there were a few). Started out very cold but warmed up.

Nice course, very short and in pretty good shape. Some good views of the lake.

The staff is super friendly. The course is in great condition. i love this place!!!!

Although the course is short, there are several holes that make for a great challenge. Fairways a little damp and greens still slow from past rain. Biggest problem is that the course attracts that either don't understand letting faster players play through or just don't care. a drive through by a marshall every hour or so could remedy this inconvenience. I had to wait on every shot and putt of the twosome I was following. one of them could barely get the balll off from the tee box but would wait until the group on the green ahead of him was done putting, even tho he was at least 200yd out. You get the picture.

Went and played here around 12pm and had no one in front of me. The fairways were well kept and the greens were taken care of as best as they can due to the weather lately. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area, best bang for your buck

Course conditions have vastly improved over last year. Greens and fairways in much better shape. A few funky holes on the back nine, but makes you think about a strategy to make par. Good course to get out and walk. Hope the staff continues the good work to improve the course!

Too many people playing and very slow play. Need ranger controlling and monitoring course.

I almost don’t want to post this because I don’t want this course to get to crowded, however I must recognize the staff of the course for doing an outstanding job. The greens and fairways were in outstanding shape. Best of the year and I play often here. I played a local country club the next day for twice the price and the course conditions do not compare. I love this course and commend the grounds crew for doing a wonderful job!

The pro shop did not inform me the Thursday Mens group consisting of 16 players teed off and there rounds could be slow, over 6 hours.

I teed off at 1030 at 2:30 I had completed 13 holes. Waited 30mins at the 14th tee before I left.

The pro came out to enforce slow play until he realize it was his Thursday Mens group. He just left, never said a word to the foursome.

The staff has no consideration for visiting players.

Course is worth playing , I would ask if they have a league playing, if so you can decide if you want to play a 6 & 7 hour round of golf.

Fall leaves, sunshine, and a gentle breeze off the lake made for a pleasant afternoon of golf. Once they get their sprinkler systems in order, hopefully they can repair some fairway damage on a few holes. Nice golf experience for the $27 I paid yesterday

This is a beautiful course and in great condition but, the pace of play was terrible. They obviously allowed too many tee times. It took 3 hours to finish the front nine & I had to leave on 14 because it had already been almost five hours. They were moving pins and cutting grass while we were actually on the greens & tee boxes. I’ve played golf for 38 years and never seen so many people/maintenance on a golf course. I recommend less tee times and actually have it setup so maintenance can do there job without disrupting play so much. I should be able to play a round in five hours on a short course. 🤷‍♂️

Plus side note Golfnow screwed me again. I paid for the round twice and neither the club or GN would make it right. 🙄
