Yadkin Country Club is a par-72 championship golf course that is one of the area's best kept secrets. It offers all the facets of Southern golf without the crowds. The Yadkin Valley stretches east from the Blue Ridge Mountains across the rolling hills of the North Carolina Piedmont. Like many golf courses in the area, Yadkin is routed up and down rolling terrain and through mature trees. The layout is challenging with an interesting mix of holes, none of which run parallel to each other. The par 3s are long and there are a few reachable par 5s. The par 4s will make you think, requiring thoughtful drives and approaches. Strategically placed bunkers and mounding lurk throughout and water hazards come into play on a few holes. Yadkin Country Club is a tough but fair layout that emphasizes strategy over strength.

Excellent experience, especially for the price

We booked through golf now for next to nothing and had a great experience at yadkin. The staff is awesome, Tiffany upstairs is a great person, very friendly and cooks up a mean chicken Philly! Beers were $2, can't beat em. Their outdoor deck overlooks some great scenery and everything is updated or in the process. The golf course was also decent, not $100 per round quality but you more than get what you pay for. Would highly recommend to others and would definitely go back!!

Best for the money

This course has excellent greens the fairways are improving everyday, the only hole I played that still needed some work was the 18th fairway it still needs some grass as do some on the tee boxes

Great value for the money

Played on a hot deal tee time for $12.00. Great value for that price. The fairways were in somewhat rough shape due, I assume, to our harsh winter, but the greens were in excellent condition (although maybe a little on the slow side). This is a course you need to play a couple of times to get the hang of it. I'll definitely go again.

Golf Course Review of Yadkin Country Club

Course conditions were not great, but for the money, one doesn't expect resort course conditions. Given its the dead of winter here in the Carolina's, you expect most of the fairways and tee boxes to be dormant, and they were. There are bare spots in the fairway and on the tees that if fixed, would improve the rating of the conditions.

The layout was really great if you look beneath the conditions. Challenging holes, forced fades and draws off the tee if you want to score. The holes do no sit parallel to each other, which is great. to score on this course you need to plan some shots. There are a few "just bomb it off the tee" holes but there are also one where you have to think before you hit.

The greens were slow but they rolled true. No too many problem areas on the greens. They had raked the bunkers earlier in the day or yesterday so clearly they try to keep up the course.

Clubhouse was nothing to write home about but the staff were friendly.

Overall I give this course an average rating, which I'd rate higher if a few things were better on the condition side, but value-wise, for what we paid on a weekend with a cart, it was great.

Not bad for the money

Not a bad course for the average golfer. Good place to take the kids although they do charge for riders.

Not in good shape

We got there early and it wasn't busy, the woman reluctantly let us out early but we could only play back 9 twice because they were aerating the greens, it wasn't in good shape and we were disappointed

course needs a lot of attention

Played 12 dollars to play here not worth it. Looked like the grass hadn't been mowed in days. Greens were slow and fairways had a lot of bare places in them. The bunkers had more dirt then sand. Will not play here again for awhile.

OK place

Course layout is challenging, course just needs some TLC. When we last played there it was like a jungle out there. Hadn't been mowed in awhile. I love the layout and some of the holes play pretty long. Greens were a good size but needed some attention. I haven't played here before this year but I hope this course can turn it around, tons of potential.

Challenging layout.

Course has very good layout. Not maintained. Had been mowed recently. Not sure about greens. Appeared to be mowed today but were very slow. Looked like 2 different grasses on most greens. Bunkers looked like they had not been raked or trimmed in weeks. Course and club house appear to be pretty old. I imagine this course was prime in it's day, but has not had proper care.
