Brigantine Golf Links
About
The public, 18-hole golf course at Brigantine Golf Links is not only beautiful scenery and a great game it is also a National Audubon Sanctuary. Its layout has roots in Scottish golfing tradition. The golf course utilizes the natural environment featuring a softly rolling terrain and marshes as well as gorgeous bay views.
Like traditional Scottish Links courses, Brigantine is marked by nearly tree-less greens and the type of shot to take often depends on the wind. There are powerful sea breezes that affect the shots and bunkers that make for an interesting game. The smooth, rolling greens encourage a bump-and-run strategy. The scenic course's location close to the Atlantic City boardwalk and the challenging, but fun game it offers make it popular among tourists and locals of all skill levels.

Swollen elbow from mosquito bites Photo submitted by khatchad on 08/19/2019
Course was in Horrible Condition
I thought the bugs were bad but the
the condition of the course was even worse and the staff treated us like they
were doing us a favor by letting us play
for the golf now discounted price.
The staff resented this and made it known
to us even though the course was empty.
I'm a resident of Brigantine and will never
play there again
cart path only
heavy rain the day before made the fairway the fairways had pools of water, bunkers were water hazards still paired up with good company and the course was interesting. will come again to play under better conditions.
Great Course - take strong bug spray
For a community course it's in fantastic shape. It's fun to play with some challenging holes. A great value for the money.
Downside: Green Eye biting flies and Mosquito's.
Take the strongest bug spray sold and you'll have a great time.
Wet! Bugs!
I get that it was rainy the days leading up but the amount of water on the course was awful. Any bunker was a pool, fairways consistantly had puddles in them that we would have to move the ball 10/15 yards to the left or right. Again, it was after some rain but is there no drainage system in place? With the way the course was, they shouldn't let people out, let alone for $75/person. It is a bit pricey if the course was in good shape, but way too much for being in poor shape.
The course is satisfactory
The fairways and greens are in good conditio n despite the rain they had
Old School
Played in mid July. Staff is always great there and this is always the most fun round of our annual NJ golf trip. A fair course for all level golfers so everyone on our trip can enjoy their round, not some tricked up course. Apps & drinks in the clubhouse after is always fun there, great bartenders. Its kind of a quirky old school links course, that winds though a neighborhood, but I really enjoy it. I would recommend trying it.
bring bug spray
Really nice course but it sits near a lot of standing water and the mosquitos were out of control... if you don't have your own the sell it at the pro shop.
Over rated / over priced
After reading reviews and course descriptions, expected a very scenic links style course. Greens were true but probably the slowest I've ever played. Some of the bunkers had sand, some were a lot of dirt. Disappointed with make up and overall ambiance of the course. not very well manicured or kept up. We played on a Hot Deal from Golfnow for $32. Regular price would have been outrageous.
The bugs!!!
No driving range. Friendly. Lovely location. But be prepared, at least in July, the two varieties of green-headed flies can ruin your round. My fight lower leg is still swollen from the bites. Our fore-some skipped the last three holes and drove off the course. Bug spray provided no relief.
Good but did not like houses around
The greens were just perfects. This is only the environment that we did not like really because we had the feeling that we were playing through houses. I sympathize with those peoples......But not to expensive...
beautiful course
We enjoyed this course. It was very well maintained. Was challanging, exactlly what we were hoping for. We had a great time.
Different in a good way
It is a fun course I enjoyed playing golf by the water and in between the summer homes! Course could of been a little cleaner and maintained, still had a great time
AC side trip
While enjoying some time at Atlantic City casinos, a great change of pace is a round of golf. Just minutes away from the casinos is Brigantine. A great staff meets yo in the parking lot to help you with your clubs and directs you the club house. The staff is friendly and helpful. The course is a challenge, which makes for a fun afternoon.
Great deal, staff and course.
Conditions were great for a public course. The staff was very friendly.
not worth the money
I don't know why anyone would pay $50 to play this course with all the much better courses in the area. Definitely not worth the money. It's a shame how bad this course has gotten. I would not recommend this to anyone.
Ocean Course
I don't think I would pay full price to pay it, but it was nice and I actually had one of the best rounds I've played at this course. The course had been hit hard by Storm Sandy, and it looked like there was still some clean up. Greens were in terrific condition though.
South Jersey Gem
It was my first time playing this magnificent links course, and I was pleased going to each exciting new hole I played. The course was well taken care of for so early in the season, and all of the snow we had. The staff was friendly and helpful with getting us going on this wonderful track.I will definitely be returning soon, to play this wonderful course again.
Beyond terrible
If there was an option for zero stars, that would be more accurate. The condition of the course is terrible, geese droppings, fallen trees, dirt fairways and garbage everywhere. Also, our cart died 4 holes in and had to wait for a new one to arrive. This course may be worth $10 at the most and it's best days are beyond gone. I warn everyone not to make the trip and play this course. Not really sure how this course is still in business to be honest.
amazing greens
Must play in Atlantic city. Pool table like greens.
Firmest greens I've seen
Course was in decent shape. Rough mowed very short, and whole course played hard as a rock. Greens were very green and decent enough speed, but insanely firm. I had two irons that hit the middle of the green that bounced twenty yards off the back. Kind of a unique challenge like you see the pros dealing with in British Open. If you can play here for 50 or under in the morning, worth it. If it's more than 50, particularly not in prime tee times, not worth it.
