Brigantine Golf Links
About
The public, 18-hole golf course at Brigantine Golf Links is not only beautiful scenery and a great game it is also a National Audubon Sanctuary. Its layout has roots in Scottish golfing tradition. The golf course utilizes the natural environment featuring a softly rolling terrain and marshes as well as gorgeous bay views.
Like traditional Scottish Links courses, Brigantine is marked by nearly tree-less greens and the type of shot to take often depends on the wind. There are powerful sea breezes that affect the shots and bunkers that make for an interesting game. The smooth, rolling greens encourage a bump-and-run strategy. The scenic course's location close to the Atlantic City boardwalk and the challenging, but fun game it offers make it popular among tourists and locals of all skill levels.

Good Course - Bring the bug spray
Good course set up. It was in good condition. Bugs were really bad, had these things called Green Heads and bug spray did nothing to keep them off.
Challenging layout, course management recommended.
The overall condition was average. The fairways need a lot of attention but the greens were in pristine condition. The bunkers were raked and manicured on the first couple of holes but needed attention on the other 15 holes. We liked the course and will definitely play it again!
Need a lot of TLC ! Poor conditions.
I would not recommend this course to anyone. The course is in poor conditions. Green are extremely slow 7 to 8 max. and long. Course would require a lot of maintenance. Rough was terrible with tons of weeds. I paid $ 35.00 and it was too much money for the quality of the green and fairway. Would have expected a lot more.
Challenging Course, Needs Some Improvement from Storm
The layout of the course is fairly easy, but you are almost unfairly penalized for any ball that misses the fairway. I lost 6 balls during my round that were just off the fairway because the rough was so deep you simply could not find your ball unless you literally walked on top of it.
If the course were better groomed, it would be a must play course. However, Sandy took her toll and while the course is very playable, any average or beginner player would be well advised to avoid this course for the time being. If they do choose to play it, go get some re circulated golf balls because you will lose a ton of balls if you are not in the fairway on every play.
Placement is key here. Back off the driver and hit whatever you can to keep you in the middle of the fairway. Virtually every shot I took off the fairway I was able to put into position to score, but they were far and few between. An average player is just as likely to get a par or bogey as they are a snowman.
Great deal for $35!!!
Except for the flies, it was a great day. Course still needs some fixing after the hurricane, but overall in good condition
different style
It was a good experience. I would play it again this year
Classic design links course.
Overall this is a nice course to play. There are a few issues that need to be addressed but since it was under water from H Sandy it will take a little time. It seems as though the staff is working hard to make repairs. Bring bug spray, it is a back bay course! The greens are in very good shape, the tee boxes need help and the fairways are OK. I played whites and my wife played reds which seemed fair for the ladies. I would play the back tees next time which would suit me better. HDCP 13.
Great value. Course was in great shape for just enduring last year's hurricane. Definitely return!
Great course for all levels. Challenging but yet enjoyable. Haven't played this course in years and amazed at the conditions given last year's hurricane. Cudos to the staff for their hard work. Only downfall is biting flies. Once we applied bug spray, they left us alone. Got a great deal versus regular price. Would return if I get the same or close deal. I know the golf courses in South Jersey have significantly raised their prices since I was there several years ago.....probably due to rebuilding after storms
Course in Bad shape. Very wet
Very Over Priced, Not worth the money. Will not play again
Great condition, challenging course.
The fairways and greens were in great condition. We played 18 holes in less than 31/2 hours. The GPS system on the carts were a great help.
The greens are great here.
The course was in decent shape but after hurricane Sandy I can understand that everything isnt right where they want it yet. The greens were good and quick which was nice but some patches in the fairways were rough. The staff was mostly friendly. Great course to play at for the price we payed after 4pm. I wouldnt pay any more than $40 dollars to golf their based on the course. $40 was a fair price for what the course offers. Overall I give it a 6.5/10. It was a fun course to play.
Course was in good shape and was fun to play.
Staff was accommodating. Course was in generally good shape. Still some after effects from last year's storm. But it was very playable. Time to play 18 was very good.
Nice layout
Nice course. Quite a few tight fairways. Need to hit a straight shot or be able to shape it. Tuesday specials a good deal.
Nice course - had to stay on cart path due to wet course - still manageable with no issues
Rained out on teh 12th hole in play. Just teh way it goes. Otherwise, good course to play. First timer here. Woudl go back.
This course is well-designed and moderately challenging
The rough is very thick, forcing you to keep your ball in the fairway or pay the consequences. There is plenty of water to keep you honest also. The greens are soft, easy to land a short iron on. Divots are pretty minimal, the course is maintained well for a public course. Whether you're a 5 handicap or just getting started, this course will provide plenty of challenges and a lot of fun. But MAKE SURE YOU BRING GOOD BUG SPRAY -- the biting flies are relentless and will be all over you if you're not covered!
Starter sunk this course
We arrived at the course 10 minutes late for our first tee time and on time for our second tee time (6 golfers). We had the 11:06 and the 11:15. We had bags in cart by 11:15. I had called 30 minutes ahead and let them know that we ran into trafiic because it was a holiday weekend but we are going to go right out. The gentleman on the phone was very nice and just noted that it was a full deck and to just be ready to go when we arrive. The starter was not as nice. He said and I quote "If you are 10 minutes past your tee time you're 30 minutes late. This will NOT happen again." To which I replied that no it will not happen again, sorry for the delay. If that was it then I would be ok with it, he then said that this is a nuisance to everyone waiting or something to that effect. Finally I said that the reason this will not happen again is because I will not be coming here again because of you and walked off. Very poor start of a round. Did not give any guidance on the course and was very rude to both parties, even the group who properly went off at 11:15.
However, the course was in good condition. Greens a bit firm but the course had a fun layout to it. As soon as they fire that starter, I will be back.
Nice. Bring the bug spray!
Links style. Very few trees but lots of water hazards. Wind is a factor. Got to get over the hazards but stay low for the wind. Nice greens and scenery. Very deep rough makes it hard to find balls. Wouldn't pay the normal fees to golf here. Golfnow was $26 and well worth it.
Different layout with ocean winds.
Greens were very good but fairways need some work. Challenging rough and dune grass. Worth playing.
links course
Still recuperairing fron Sandy but the course lay out is unique and natural. I enjoyed even that the course needs more work. I would like to see better tee boxes and more work on the fairways. Greens are great and small and difficult to get to it. I think regular speed not fast not really slow. I Do not think the course should be fix all around as its unique lay out includes areas that are not maintainning at all and present an extra challange for the players.
Nice course. Still in rough shape from Hurricane.
This would be a very nice course with a challenging and scenic layout, were it not for the conditions following the storm last year. It's clear that this place was hit pretty hard. It is playable, but no in the greatest condition on either fairways or tee boxes. Greens rolled nice and quick though. I would play again, but maybe next year to give it a chance to recover first.
