Chardon Lakes Golf Course

We always enjoy playing Chardon Lakes as it is scenic and challenging, but at the same time very playable. This summer the weather has affected some of the fairways, as it has been wet and hot, a combination that that leads to some brown patches resulting from standing water. Fortunately the greens haven't suffered. The course is well maintained and the staff are very friendly.

Until they change the tee time spacing go somewhere else on the weekends. It took 55 minutes to play two holes. After finishing the first hole in a blistering 25 minutes I looked up and counted 5 groups on the 2nd hole. One on the green, one group waiting in the fairway and three groups waiting at the tee box…absolutely unacceptable. I’m no math professor but I can still figure it that 25 minutes per hole with groups going off every 8 minutes is going to create a mess and ruin a lot of people’s weekends, especially those that can only golf one day a week. The worst golf experience I’ve had in the last 5 years.

This is a great course but for some reason some sand traps were being repaired or not playable. I had played this course when it was wet and the traps were still playable but not this time. Other than that everything was great. cart paths in particular as well as the carts.

Avoid playing here, highly recommend getting a membership somewhere that doesn't allow these shenanigans

Course was wet and cart path only but no problems because the carpets are fantastic. Even the wet sand was playable. I did not see too many people playing so the pace was great but I hope you make enough money to keep this up.

Greens are super. Very pleasant round, staff there did a great job on the grounds after heavy rain. I played mid morning during the week and it moved quickly. Love CL.

Played 9 holes on a Sunday afternoon. Pace was great. Bit soggy on some tees but overall great round!

The greens were slow, spongy, long and not smooth at all and at $71 i would except them to be much better.bbThey desperately needed to be cut and rolled. Their was also bare spots in the fairways and rough.. This course is living off its past and its future is a new shopping center or housing development. It really sucks and the slam as many people as possible on this course so expect to do a lot of waiting around.

Have played here for over 30 years. The conditions are the absolute best ever. In particular, the sand is pure, PGA level and the best in all the other courses around this area. Pace of play slowed down in the back 9, possibly some people cane in. But not a big deal. The prices have gone up but you get your value. Keep up the good work!

Brand new to golf. Went with a couple of my buddies and it was challenging but not intimidating would recommend

Overall not terrible . Would only play during the week. Tee times are 8 minutes apart for premium price on weekends, coupled with 3 hour pace of place for 9 holes. Had to cut the round short 2 holes due to lack of pace. Not one ranger seen on the course whole day. No beverage cart service all day on a Sunday 80+ degrees. Probably won’t be playing here again. Would not recommend.

Course is in great shape with an interesting layout.

Greens were well maintained Fast and True.

Best 6200 yards in all of Ohio. When you play a course that Jack holds the course record. (. 67. ). You know your in a great spot
