About
The Blue Heron Pines Golf Club consists of two award-winning courses called the East and the West. Located 15 minutes outside of Atlantic City, these public golf courses provide a challenging game and have been touted by many New Jersey publications as the best 18-hole course on the Jersey Shore.
Each golf course had a different designer so they do have some differences. The West Course is relatively flat with narrow fairways and fast greens. Water hazards also come into play on seven holes. The East Course on the other hand features wide fairways and difficult bunkers. The East Course also follows a links-style layout and is meant to be played fast and firm. For those who want to play the courses but aren't at the top of their game yet, the club offers golf instruction.

Great Experience
My round started by locking my keys in the car, which the staff was very willing to help me out as I worked through that. They offered me free rental clubs to use so that I could begin my round (it was around 5 o'clock and they were genuinely concerned for me that I might not be able to play a full round before it got dark). The course was great, and the staff was more than accommodating. A+
Enjoyable time we had!
We played with a resident and he was very nice. People are very friendly and understandable for tourists like us. Attention to the endless sand traps. Not recommended for beginners. We went late in the day with a sunset, the scenery was breathtaking. Water, trees, driveways ... and yes I recommend it to all players for the manicure the field and especially for his second nine.

Reason for 5 hour round was a small tournament between the Pines. Harbor Pines and Blue Heron Pines. This group of players could have played a little faster.
Good Mix of Holes
Course was in excellent condition despite extended period without rain. Played Sunday at 4PM & fit in 18 holes due to extended summer daylight. Sunday deal included free range balls, free sleeve of balls (good quality, not non-brand), and certificate for free meatball sub after round. Only complaint was that there was no refreshment cart at that time of the day and no water on the course in the 90 deg. heat.
Great Shape!
This course is in excellent shape. Things are much better since Ron Jaworski took over.
Go play it!
It's been a year or so since I last played here and Jaworski's management group is doing an excellent job with this one. The same goes for his Running Deer and Riverwind courses. Keep up the good work and buying other courses!
Awesome layout and condition.
The course is in great condition and the layout is challenging but still good for the average golfer. If play is a bit backed up, they've got their staff fixing divots in the fairways in the interim. Which is why I rarely saw divots in the fairways. Highly recommended. Definitely a must play.
Enjoyable round
Nice course, good mix of holes allowing you to hit most of the clubs in your bag.
Greens were in excellent shape for a public course. Rough was spotty in some spots or would rank course conditions excellent.
Played in early morning and enjoyed the fast pace of play. Would definitely recommend to someone looking for a place to play at the shore.
Saw Jaws at his course
Good course, with a few challenging holes. Try to get a fire rate online. Otherwise, it's a bit pricey
This course was amazing
As a newer golfer this course was amazing.. It tests all your playing ability and allows you to find your weakness so that u can have an idea of what to practice. I would recomend you play other courses if you arent the best yet because this course does not play games.. It was beautiful and i cant wait to go back again!!
Nice Sunday afternoon
Very good shape for April after a good bit of rain the week/few days before. Impressed with how firm the greens were for this time of year. Can't wait to play later in the summer when things really green up. Only gripe was we only saw the snack cart once for the entire round.

In GREAT Shape for this late in the season
other than a couple of slow groups that backed up the course it was a good day. Really should have a marshal on course we had 4 groups on a hole on the back, all caused by 2 SLOW Groups

good conditions /greens tough but fair/great value.
really nice course that i hadn't played in some time. it was much better than i remembered. pace of play was mild problem. 2 women behind us insisted on playing thru and the held us up. despite this it was a very enjoyable round and i'll look forward to returning.
Nice layout, good conditions, but bad experience
Had a beautiful day enjoying the courses nice layout and good conditions until the golf cart I was assigned ran out of juice. Had to be pushed by another cart. Heard of other players having this issue. It lead to a dreaded 5 hour round and a headache to follow
everything you would want in a course
Except for the rinky-dink homes near the fairways, the course is fun and challenging with pristine greens and fairways
