About
The Blue Heron Pines Golf Club consists of two award-winning courses called the East and the West. Located 15 minutes outside of Atlantic City, these public golf courses provide a challenging game and have been touted by many New Jersey publications as the best 18-hole course on the Jersey Shore.
Each golf course had a different designer so they do have some differences. The West Course is relatively flat with narrow fairways and fast greens. Water hazards also come into play on seven holes. The East Course on the other hand features wide fairways and difficult bunkers. The East Course also follows a links-style layout and is meant to be played fast and firm. For those who want to play the courses but aren't at the top of their game yet, the club offers golf instruction.

The course was in good shape
My 1:08 tee time Sunday was behind an outing, but it went smoothly. It was a beautiful day and I was playing well, so it was all good.
Nice Course
Very nice course ..always well maintained ...very crowded most of the time..but ranger keeps it flowing..
Nice country club feel
Enjoyed this course tremendously. Very challenging. Only negative is that your occasional off shot can really be disastrous here.

Course had tree lined fairways but still had the shore ambiance. Will play there again.

Very nice course to play.
Course was in great condition and the staff was friendly. Pace of play was the only drawback. Had to wait on almost every tee and groups were getting backed up. It took alot away from the game.

Very enjoyable day ar this course. Well maintained & greens were in excellent condition. With the price gotten from Golfnow this course was a real bargain
The greens had been airated the week before and was very difficult to putt, It so when the ball got to the hole it went off and not
The fairways had a great deal of weeds and you had to roll your ball in order to get on a piece of grass to hit from. Quite a few of the tee boxes were all torn up and weed covered . It played like super storm sandy had hit the golf course and it was still trying to recover.
Nice layout and Fair !
This is the best course that I have payed this week in the Atlantic City area via Golfnow. Fairway and greens were in good conditions. Greens were slow max 8 to 9. Maybe this how all greens are kept in the AC area. Fairway and greens bunkers were in excellent shape. Greens are well protected which was fun. Back nine was a lot of fun. You are also not penalize if you are no in the fairway from you drive. I would play it again.
Course was challenging
Well placed sand traps make this course a challenge for all players. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
In great disrepair and failed to notify.
After seeing the deal on this site and calling the course twice with questions, I booked a time for the following day. Upon arriving I was informed that 9 holes were out of commission and the other 9 had just been aerated. Furthermore, the staff was incredulous when I asked why they failed to mention that the day before or to place the aeration logo on this website. Overall, a very poor experience at a subpar course that over-charged and was over-played. I will not return.
Had to play back nine twice
The front nine was closed and didnt find out until we got to course.

If you don't hit 'em straight, there's a lot of trouble you can get into!!
Challenging course. Lots of traps, woods and water to make it an interesting round!!
This course is fun to play but needs attention to the details.
I have played this course before the newest owners and it was always in top shape. Sometimes the greens were to fast but always consistent. I played the course a couple of days ago and it was starting to look like it was being let go. I will however give them some grace due to the fact that we have had some extreme weather in this area making it very difficult for the ground crews to maintain. The greens were consistent but too furry for my taste. Overall it is a challenging and fun course to play.

One of the best courses I played along the Jersey Shore.
5 1/2 round. Poor condition
Had a 2pm tee time. Didn't tee off until 3pm. We all were told by the staff they over booked. 3 fairways were completely unplayable and the greens were bumpy. I played there a couple of months ago and the same thing happened. They overbooked. On that day they seem to allow residents or members to squeeze in among the tee times. on that day we teed off at 2:45 finished at 8pm.
Not the BHP that was a model for daily fee courses by Hanson.
Course conditions
Fairways chewed up a bit and some patches of crab grass, greens in pretty good shape for most part and rolled true and a bit slow. Traps in good shape... played 8/12 and 17th & 18th fairways were being aerated. Great course as must play if on vacation in the area.
