The course is in ok shape

The fairways were hard like rocks, very hard to hit off of them. The greens were thick.

Great for the price

If you just enjoy golfing and are new to the game or just love to play, it's the cheapest course in charlotte and it's in fair condition. Greens were good, tee boxes a little rough but fine for the price. Wide fairways, not a long course. But for theprice, enjoy a round and play golf.

Terrible

Pace of play was awful. Almost 3 hours for the first nine. Manager Jeff was extremely rude.

Spend the extra $10-20 and play somewhere else

Honestly, probably one of the worst golf courses I’ve ever played. Greens were tiny and terrible and most of the fairways even gave bad lies. For as wet as some parts of the course were, where it was dry, it was DRY.

I recommend spending the extra money and go play one of the better courses in the area like Charles T, Revolution, or Monroe country club.

I will probably not return even for the $30 I spent.

Course is not well kept

For the amount of money you are going to spend play somewhere else like tradition. Rates are to high for the course to not be kept in a reasonable playing conditions.

Nice value

The course was wet with a few holes having some drainage problems.

It’s a nice layout and value for the money.

Great place to take someone who’s learning the game.

Sunset Hills

Course: straightforward and easy. Not a lot of difficult holes or demanding shots. Wide fairways and not penalizing rough. Greens were extremely small, a bit shaggy, and slow. Tee boxes were ok, a lot of them were barren and some are built right on top of other holes.

Amenities: staff was extremely friendly, driving range was grass and not too bad, didn’t see putting green but didn’t look very hard.

Overall: easy course that’s good for beginners. Back 9 is a bit more scenic and enjoyable. Very cheap rates so good value for the money.

Wet course

Course plays short from all sets of tees. Fairways and roughs in average winter conditions for bermuda grass. Greens very slow but rolled somewhat true. The small greens did not hold the approach shot well. Lots of muddy areas, with two holes somewhat unplayable because of the mud.
