Tanglewood Golf Club - Reynolds Course
About
Tanglewood in Clemmons is home to two 18-hole courses, the Championship Course and the Reynolds Course, both designed by Robert Trent Jones. Golf Digest has ranked the Reynolds Course as one of the top 75 public courses in the country. At 7,101 yards from the back tees, the golf course may lack the length of modern courses but it has all of the challenges. The sloping fairways are lined with trees and there are several doglegs that demand draws and fades from the back tees. The final hole is considered the most difficult at Tanglewood. This narrow, twisting par 4 climbs an uphill fairway guarded by a deep bunker on the left and mature woods on the right. You'll need a long, straight tee shot in order to have a chance at hitting the tiny, elevated green, which is also well protected by bunkers.

Great fun on an Awesome Coarse
if you are looking for the best groomed golf coarse and a little challenge to boot. this is the place for you.
Excellent Country Club Course
Reynolds course is always a joy to play and to bring friends. Greens were fast, course was in good condition.
Quality All Around
The course is located in the heart of Tanglewood Park. Beauty surrounds, with wild life in and out of the woods. They seemed to have trained the Canadian Geese to stay off the greens. Slow players were courteous and let us play through. The greens were in great shape, course was well manicured. Woods surround the fairways. Errant balls are easily lost into the woods, water in play on three holes. Rolling terrain. Very enjoyable to play.
Reynolds course is great shape
The Reynolds course is in great shape this year! The fairways are nice and the greens are perfect. They're not as fast as the Championship course, but they were in fine shape.
DJ
First time I played this course. Course was in pretty good shape, only thing I didn't care for was distance between club house and 10th tee box. I rode today, but usually I'm a walker that would make me reconsider playing here again if I'm walking. This was the Reynolds course, not sure about champions.
Good course for what you pay
this course has a wide variety of holes. sometimes the greens can be slow. overall a fun course to play.
Tanglewood- Reynolds Course
Fast moving pace. Friendly people. Course in good shape. Had a great experience!
The slowest most congested round of my life
We were behind a 2 some that would hit 2 drives off every tee. They then fished balls out of every pond on the course. Once we passed them there was a 4 some who hit 2 drives off each tee and refused to let us play through. I won't be back to this course for a while.
a fun course
Course is not in the best shape, with inconsistent greens. I played the course a few days after some pretty bad rain storms and the bunkers were in rough shape. It was more like hitting out of lake bottoms then sand traps.
Much narrower than I originally thought. I found this course to be tougher than the champions course due to the narrowness and short play. If you hit the long ball well, this course is difficult because there are not many driver tee shots until the back 9. Which is why I found the back 9 to be easier than the front.
Great little course, only thing that I found to be negative is the bunkers and the fact you need to pay $2.00 for park entry fee just to get to the course. Think Tanglewood should figure out a better way to have that fee included in the play or get $2.00 off tee times to accommodate the difference. Kind of silly.
Course is very challenging and is a good value
Other than some slow play the experience was very enjoyable. The course Marshall tried to move play along but was hampered by some inconsiderate golfers
Can't control the weather
While playing the 9th hole, a huge downpour started. We had to hurry to the clubhouse in hopes that it would be a brief Passover. It turned out to be the end of what started as a great game of golf for all 4 of us!
Best I've seen it!
The Tanglewood Reynolds course is in the best shape I've ever seen it. The staff has done a wonderful job at making this course look the best it's ever been. The tee boxes are in great shape, fairways are in wonderful condition, and the greens are rolling great, with no damaged areas. I've been playing this course for the past 10 years and I've seen it at it's worst. It's come a long way and I hope it stays looking as good as it does now. Will be back out very soon!
Great value
Best value around in Winston-Salem area.
Tough course
Reynolds course
Reynolds course is in great condition except the bunkers. Great layout and friendly staff makes for a fun round.
