About
Tanglewood in Clemmons is home to two 18-hole courses, the Championship Course and the Reynolds Course, both designed by Robert Trent Jones. Golf Digest has ranked the Reynolds Course as one of the top 75 public courses in the country. At 7,101 yards from the back tees, the golf course may lack the length of modern courses but it has all of the challenges. The sloping fairways are lined with trees and there are several doglegs that demand draws and fades from the back tees. The final hole is considered the most difficult at Tanglewood. This narrow, twisting par 4 climbs an uphill fairway guarded by a deep bunker on the left and mature woods on the right. You'll need a long, straight tee shot in order to have a chance at hitting the tiny, elevated green, which is also well protected by bunkers.

Well maintained
Good conditions considering the cold, wet weather we've had lately.
Tanglewood East
Tanglewood Reynolds course. Designed by Robert Trent Jones. Excellent bent grass greens, some have 4 tiers. Roll true. Dormant bermuda fairways and rough in the winter. Doglegs both ways, so you need to be able to work the ball both ways. Plenty of sand, fairway and greenside. Big deodara cedars line #16 fairway. This course is GORGEOUS. I have played it hundreds of times. I love it. Staff is superb. Good grill.
Windy Day
Greens were in good shape overall although they had a lot of debris from the wind. Fairways and traps had some washouts and could certainly use some work. Not a long course but requires accurate shot making. Had a good price, only wish it was in a little better condition.
Nice greens
It's been a few years since I've played out here. The greens were really nice and pretty fast. Fairways were decent. Never as nice as the championship course but for the value you can't go wrong.

Played Reynolds today. Best greens in NC by far. Omg I have played here for years and have never seen them this good. A must play
Good shape
Have played the course before. This is probably the best condition it has been in. Looks like they finally got the greens right
few quirky holes but fair. Greens in good shape. Pace of play was slow probably due to the great weather AND that there was a tournament on the second course at Tanglewood. I like to get out to this course just to test my game. Always seem t see a deer or two walk close by and no exception this time.
Reynolds course is a fun and enjoyable experience
This is the best shape I have seen this course in. They have done a really good job. Fun, challenging course.
A fun gem
Challenging, diverse layout. Greens were consistent and nicely maintained. Fun course & well worth the price

The course was in great shape. The greens really rolled true and fast. I had a wonderful time and I will be coming back soon to play many more rounds of golf at this awesome golf course.
Great Day
Really enjoy the challenge of this course. The fairways and greens are in real good shape. There are a couple issues on the fairways like water lines being opened up but present no issues.
A real test of skill
You have to play your shots right on this course, or you will pay in lost balls and frustration. It’s a beautiful course and the staff are great; play never lagged and rangers kept play moving. Will come back when my shots are better.
Golf now
So it was cart path only also the greens had been plugged and golf now didnt say this so we talked to staff at tangle wood and they let us play the champion course. We had 2 seniors with us so it would have been tough on them to do alot of walking if I would have known this we would have booked somewhere else but staff at tanglewood corrected the issue. So always call before reserving t time.
