Shorter and challenging course.
First nine holes are mostly woods holes, drivers can be used on some of the holes in back nine. Great for people that likes to use woods and can shape shots.
Enjoyed playing this course it was a challenge for someone from Florida that is flat. To play on rolling hills.
The course was well maintained the staff very friendly. the layout was fun. Would not want to walk too many hills for me. It was very relaxing to play.
this course does not have a starter doing his or her job properly - the pace of play is extremely slow
I would not pay $40 dollars again to play this course, especially on the weekend - there was not starter and the play became extremely slow because of this
Good
Course was in great shape, and staff was pleasant. The pace of play was fantastic until the back nine. The overall pace was fine. Great place to play for the money.
Challenging
This course is short but challenging, very few drivers off the tee. It is scoreable if you can keep it in play. Good elevation changes and moving holes left to right, right to left. The greens have some good slopes and undulations and are in very good condition. Its a fun track that I recommend for all skill levels.
Good course, fun, challenging, good value
When the Crossings is dry, and the greens are cut....there isn't a course within 25 miles that is better for the price. Fairways and greens stay in good shape, the only real knock on it is, the cart paths could use work in places, but who cares about that!
Great value and well maintained!
I was able to grab a tee time for $17 for 18 holes with cart at the Crossings and I think it was the best value I've ever gotten for my money on golfnow. The Crossings is in very good shape right now and is well maintained. There are a few spots that need attention but generally they are not in play. Greens roll true but are a little slower than some in the area. No range but very nice putting green. It's a fun course with short par 5's and 4's but also has some challenging longer holes. Good mix of dog legs and elevation changes.
Course is very good. Need to have course management.
The course was in excellent shape. The island Par 3 was a joy to play.
The course was well maintained.
Course was challenging but fair way condition was good.
Green condition was also very good.
Play it but not if your game is off...
Enjoyable course IF you are striking the ball & hitting it straight. If you are a high HC player (15 - up) do yourself a favor and look else-where as the slope of the fairways & forced carry holes will leave you with a bad taste at the end of the day. Course was in winter mode due to colder than normal March...brown all over but there was grass in most FW locations.
Pro shop personnel are some of the most respectful in the area...I give those Guys props for the lack of attitude no matter how you booked your round.
Rack rate is pricey...
Overpriced
They should not be charging anyone over $32-35 for 18 holes with a cart on the weekend and no more than $25 during the week. Tee boxes, bunkers and rough were all in poor condition. The greens were the best part and they had recently been aerified if that says anything. Also the golf course should put actual pictures of holes on their website because their website is very misleading with the description. If you like lay up target golf with not much distance than this is a perfect course for you
Enjoy the front nine..backs tougher
Good value...greens recently airated though and a few greens can kill your game if you hit a good shot on them and then roll 40 yards down hill off the green. Will play again regardless as it is a good rate and pace was good.
sliders don't work above. there's no in between choices
course is a real good layout. tough holes and lots of water.
little rough now because of the lousy weather but normally in good shape. friendly, even to yankee's.
Great greens
Played as a single in under 3 hours. Greens are in excellent condition. Back 9 very target golf oriented. Only downside, it's not a good place to play after a rain....really holds water. Will play again when it dries out and fairways fill in.
Reasonable price.
Great price and good conditions.
However, the staff at the desk should have to learn how to smile and how to be kind.
This course has challenging hole and pin placements
I found the course track to be reasonable and fun but It had rained the night before and the course was muddy and wet. However, the greens were in great shape and tracked fast and smooth. I will go back.
Nice place for the money
close to wake forest area (home) and afordable. greens and tee-boxes in great shape for being January. Will go back again and again as long as it stays on golfnow. Has just the right amount of difficulty for a mid-teens hadicap if you play from the whites or step back to the blues for some tough water shots.
Easy Front, Tough Back
A nice golf course for a quick round. No driving range. Gets very soggy after a rain.
Good value for a single
I was looking for a place to play as a single and I've had experiences where I go to a course, as a single, they are booked up. So using Golfnow, I can reserve from my home a tee time and be assured that I'll get on the course. I payed $16 for 18 holes at a $30+ course with a cart! Wow, that is a great deal! I belong to a club that's not open on Monday, that would cost $18 for just a cart. It so simple to look at the prices on GolfNow and reserve a tee time. Definitely going to use GolfNow again and tell my friends.
Good Overall quality for the money
Greens were OK, some need repair others were excellent for the time of year.
Now that is a proper comment. My wish is that all who post take time to write a proper review or not at all.
Many thanks to the writer, you must have a high school diploma.
