Nice layout, good price for golf
good condition for winter golf, good price, greens in good condition
Winter conditions, very good greens
Dave, the pro was very welcoming and friendly. Overall a good golf experience.
Very cold morning but the staff handled the delay exactly as they should and managed to get the crowd off in a timely and "non-clumped" way.
The course was very wet after the rains of the previous day and overnight frost but otherwise well maintained. Rate of play was excellent, especially considering the fact that we had a 90+ minute start delay because of the over night heavy frost. The staff was very friendly and did a great job of loading the course once it thawed a little - we saw no delays once we started. I consider this to be a very well maintained and rather challenging course - forces correct club selection in many places but then also has wide open holes that encourage you to rip one. Played here weekly in a Summer league in 2008 but have not played lately, the course is in much better shape now than then. A very good value for the price in my opinion. Only wish my play had been better :^) That's my problem!
greens in good shape
always enjoy playing at crossings. bermuda fairways have turned brown and rough very manageable
Excellent condition for December 4th Fall golf (almost winter) the greens were in great shape but extremely fast. It was well worth the deal.
The course was in great shape (burmda grass) and the greens were extremely fast. The clubhouse and staff we very professional and Friendly. We had a thressome and played 18 riding in under 4 hours! Great price with Goldnow deal!
Course is in great shape during the first week of December
The greens were receptive, but still fairly quick. Fairways were in good shape. Great Par 5's on this course.
Great course for the money
Great course for the money. The greens were in very good shape especially considering the $20 price.
i loved the course and will be back. Great staff ...
had a great time.... hope to play again soon ... not and eazy course to play but just right to have great fun
Winter golf, great rate, course in excellent shape.
Got on last minute and starter was nice enough to work me and a buddy in the day before Thanksgiving. Played here 4-5 times over the years and this is the best shape i've ever seen the course. Greens were pristine which was surprising given that we've had several nights in the 30s this season.
Pace of play was just over 4 hours and it was pretty crowded. The Crossings is not a long course and some will be frustrated by the inability to use a driver on most of the course. It is a track that rewards those that can put it in the fairway and hit greens in reg.
Overall a great day of golf.
The fairways had most of the leaves off them, such that if you stayed in the fairways, you had no trouble finding your ball!!
The price was right and the people were very friendly. I will differently play this course again.
great value on a real good course
not too long but still a challenge for the average golfer - course is currently in great shape - greens are pristine and fast -
This course has great feature but rates are too high.
The course is in good condition as usual. However, I was extremely please to find great afternoon rates on Golfnow.com. I live in the immediate area but always opted to play other couses for their reasonable rates. I hope this is new trend that continues. I believe the course has always been over priced.
Great course to play!
I took my father out there and we had a great time. It was on a Sunday morning 9/23/2012 about 9:30 tee off and there was no one out there. The course had a great lay out and the Marshalls were very friendly and chatted us up periodically throughout are round. The greens were in amazing shape, some of the best around here Ive seen, and the course was in really good shape as well. The island 12th hole is so fun, because there was no one behinnd us, we went back and played it twice! Great course for the money! I would play here again! The only downside is the bar/resturant wasnt the greatest.
Fun layout, good accessability from RDU area
the course was in rough shape due to heavy rains the previous days, but still fun to play. I haven't played it in a while, but always enjoy playing there. The staff was very cordial. Overall, a good experience despite the course condition.
The course plays well to differenet levels.
The experience always begins at the Pro Shop. Here they made me feel welcome right from the start. The attendent was helpful and provided some great points regarding the course. the course itself played very well for me not being an exceptional long ball hitter. The greens are all very large which makes you feel good about putting the ball on the green in regulation. This is a community course but the homes are not a problem and never come into play. Over all it was a great round.
Lots of elevation changes. Good greens.
Enjoyed our round. We were greeted by very cordial person who gave us scorecards and yardage booklet. Took a little getting used to the elevation changes on front nine. Back nine very different with more water. Greens had some speed! Would definitely play again.
Greens are nice and course has interesting layout
I like playing the Crossings, the greens are always in great shape, and it has a nice layout. Some boxes are blind, but once you play the course the first time those blind shots become a decision point. Very interesting course to play.
