The Challenge Golf Club

I love the layout at the Challenge. A few great risk/reward tee shots. Greens needed to be rolled but its January so I wasnt really expecting too much.

This course has it all, short holes, long holes and a wide variety in between. Well worth it to play this track at least once. In the spring and summer time this course is great. Right now the rough is super easy to play from, with the Bermuda grass being dormant.

Very enjoyable course. Good variety of holes....par 3's are strong. For the winter, the course was in very good condition. Greens were very true and not too quick.

This course is WAY better than you would think when you look at the greens fees. It's just a legit golf course top to bottom - good layout, good conditions, good facilities, GREAT hot dogs. Seriously though, it's probably the only true "steal" left around Chapel Hill, Burlington, Durham, etc. My buddies and I actually get sad when we find a super cheap tee time here because we feel the course deserves to get more business.

I have played here a number of times, and the greens are in the best shape that I can remember. Fairways and tee boxes are in good shape as well. Overall, a fun day, on a good golf course.

The fairways are generous and length is challenging.

We enjoyed the course very much. It was about an hours drive for us, but well worth it, and we are anxious to return.

We have played the Challenge many times in the past, but it was the first time for a new friend who has moved here from Pennsylvania. He was delighted with the course, and we all had a great time. We particularly enjoyed the great savings we got by using the golf now web site.

This is a beautiful golf course with great layout. Fairways were in good shape. The greens looked good from a distance but are ALL sandy, which most the holes you couldn't even get a true putt. I would recommend playing this course and say if the greens were better than it could get a lot better rating and or business.

The Course design was well planned and presented a challenge to each of the players in our group. We are all of varying handicap and skill level. The Course was well maintained and and in good condition. We enjoyed our round and will be back soon to enjoy the course again.

This was a moderately challenging course and was interesting to play. No tricks, just well designed. Pace play was very good and would recommend to all.

We have played here several times. A very good design, as much course as you want - especially if you feel like backing up a set of tees.

A nice course with beautiful scenery. It is also very peaceful and quiet. Greens were a little bumpy.

Although. Greens were rough from recent heavy plug old school airation...scoured played very fair for the average golfer...rough wasn't as painful as it used to be

Our threesome were satisfied with the course conditions given the rate of $15 per player for 18 holes. The course is difficult in that it has many doglegs and water holes. The greens has recently been punched, therefore putting was more difficult.

All of courses are very good but Green quality is not good.
But it's very fun so I can recommend my friend.

Most of the holes are interesting and have moderate challenge. A few of the holes seem to be tricked up to a degree. Overall, the Challenge is not a bad track and a fair value for the price. I was able to play in 2.25hrs after 5 groups let me play through. I'll return for another round.
