The Challenge Golf Club

Loved the course. Will be playing it a lot more often.

The Challenge is a delight little setup off I-40. The Pro Shop is stocked, but not with an abundance of items. The putting greens are great. There isn't a range, but there are hitting bays, next to the practice area. It is a fun course that has open fairways, and plenty of vegetation to lose balls. A downside is on hole #9 they have a posting about the golfer paying for damaged property. Thought the HOA covers stuff like that.

Let me start by saying that the Challenge is a fabulous course and I always had good rounds playing there with friends and introducing friends who have never played the course. That being said, in this COVID 19 scenario and I having to take care of two immune compromised elderly parents, it is unreasonable to ask me to pay an extra $10 on top of what I have already paid for the round and cart just to have a cart to myself. The policy at the course is two a cart. It is not a deal breaker for me and I will come back to play but I rather walk than have to double up even though I already paid for round and cart.

Being a resident of Florida golf courses can be well conditioned but of little character. The Challenge was delightful change of pace. The hills, trees, rocks, streams and wonderful course conditions made this a

very memorable experience. I highly recommend if you are in the Greensboro area play this course!

On another note. I want commend the outside staff gentleman that found and returned Bushnell laser range finder. The fact that I have worked at numerous courses in central Florida I am acutely aware of range finders not being found or turned in. Compliments to management and the entire staff. Friendliness and integrity are integral parts of great customer service.

Course was in good shape even tho greens had been recently aerated. Super friendly staff. Looking forward to my next round.

The greens have just been punched in the past 2 weeks, so some putts were a little bumpy, but overall the course is in great shape.

The Challenge is in very good shape. Staff are super nice and pace of play under 4 hours.

They were aerating today, so no practice green, no practice net. Pace was super slow on the first nine, but we breezed through the second nine. Always enjoy the course. Staff is pleasant.

My son and I have played here several times. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They have a great snack bar with good deals for a snack at the turn. The course is well kept. We always enjoy playing here. The staff is usually working on continuing to improve the course.

Just touch up the spot on the green at 4 from all the rain

Wish you weren't nearly an hour away from me or I'd play here all the time. Very attractive layout without being too difficult. Greens rolled fast and true. Staff very friendly. I'll be back soon!

The course was in very good shape. The greens were awesome. Really enjoyed my round and would highly recommend this golf corse

I live in Raleigh and played with a buddy from Kernersville. It's a perfect 1/2 way spot for us. The course plays well and was in good shape. The greens were true for the most part, and in good shape. If you like placement golf, this is a good one. We played the whites, which we realized after we started that they were moved up quite a bit, so I recommend asking the actual yardages before you tee off, and the same time the attendant tells you the pin placement. Amenities were mostly closed, so no rating there. I would gladly come back.

Played here last weekend with my dad. The 2 of us were the 2nd group off the tee, so pace was great - we finished in 3hrs 15mins. The course was in excellent shape. The fairway grass was full and plush and the greens were soft and rolled great. It's a really fun layout, too - not your typical straightaway, wide-open course at all. I hadn't played this course since 2015 and it's miles better than it was then. I will definitely be playing here more often.
