This is great course and it is in very good shape, greens were great.

Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Greens are great.

It rained 4days ago course drained pretty good for this time of year.

Once again only down fall is the bunkers are not being kept up very well.

Like I said it rained 4days ago and bunkers are still washed out and not raked up at all

I have always enjoyed The Challenge but yesterday it was in better condition than I've ever seen it. The fairways and greens are both in great shape. It is a good layout with different challenges to deal with on every hole. And for the price, it's hard to beat.

Played the course on a hot deal from golf now which turned out to be one of the better hot deals I have booked. The course was in good shape, no complaints on the greens or fairways. Tee boxes were a little rough. Staff in the club house and restaurant area were very friendly. All around good experience

Many amateur golfers who think they’re better than they really are would brush off playing at a course under $30.00 a round. If you fall into this category..... YOUR LOST!! The Challenge golf course was in excellent condition, and the greens were in the best condition I’ve seen on any of the courses this year. The facility was clean and the staff was very friendly. This is a “must play” course if your looking for the best bang for your $$.

After some down years and a couple exploratory outings to test conditions I am satisfied the Challenge is in consistently good shape and I won’t have to read all the current reviews to verify conditions. It is good to have another option back in the regular mix.

Greens are great

No walking on the weekends till the afternoon is pretty weak but everything else was great.

Over all course is in good shape.

The bunkers are in bad shape. Need sand in them. Alot of hard pan lies at greensides.

You can tell they have not been raked or kept up for a while. Hopefully they will be replaced in near future.

Love playing there. But have to play with golfnow or later in day. Price is to high at 49

I played as a single and once I got around a threesome of slow women and a foursome of slower men I did great. Played the back 9 in 40 minutes . I don’t like playing when I have to wait 6-8 minutes to tee off and then wait before each shot. Course is in pretty good shape .

I love this course. Once they finish some bunker improvements it should be a 5 star again. One thing I wish they would watch better is the water coolers around the course. ....please keep them full for the afternoon golfers.

I have been playing golf for the last 20years around 1-1.5 hrs to RTP area. Challenge used to be very good but it became one of the worst courses in the last few years.

However, this course is back!!

Almost perfect fairways and greens.

Some bunkers need new sand but most of them are ok.

Greens are not as fast as hybrid greens but fast enough making your round enjoyable.

Yes, greens bite and you will see some back spins.

If you like some challenges in golf, this is one of them.

I am so glad to see this course has come back to the level that it used to be 15 yrs ago.

Great day for golf, everything was great. Top off with my 1st Eagle on #10. Driver and putter was all I needed.

I have played this course several times in the past 12 years. The positive is very nice Bermuda greens. The negative is everything else. Rock-hard fairways and poorly maintained edges where large patches of baked clay is evident in places. Don't plan on short pitches withbyou 64 degree. Some sand traps needs more sand.

$30 for the round isn't bad -- clearly in the catagory, "you get what you pay for". The place has a lot of potential but they need to spend money on an irrigation system and a commitment to growing grass when in bounds.

I played The Challenge a month ago and gave a Good/Excellent review. We played again yesterday and had another great time. Course is in great shape. The only question I had would be that a couple of the Yellow Tees (we played from) had what seemed to be odd/ nonstandard tee locations where the tee area wasn't as flat as it should be. But this was minor. We had a tee time at 1 PM on a Thursday and never rain into another group ahead of us or had a group catch up to us from behind - we basically had the course to ourselves so pace of play was perfect..

Course is in GREAT shape, weather was perfect so there were a lot of golfers out there. For a threesome it was a 4.5 hour round, much too slow for us speedy players

Play this course a couple times per year. This course rewards accuracy and punishes those who cannot stay in the fairway. Lots of terrain to deal with, as well as bunkers, water and woods. Bring your 'A' game and enjoy a challenging round.

For the average golfer, the course presents a challenge true to its name, but is fair. If you hit the ball with a reasonable degree of accuracy you will be fine. If you tend to spray your shots as many golfers do, there is a lot of trouble to find in the form of trees, ponds, and natural habitat areas, but nothing unfair. The greens were in excellent condition.
