The carts were the highlite
I've played here many times and never do well. It's not an easy course with lots of slope in the greens but in spite of that it's enjoyable. What made this particularly special was that they have gotten new carts and the seats feel like they are made out of soft leather with bolsters to hold you in place bouncing around looking for your golf ball in the woods. I've never ridden in carts with seats this plush.

They are a little proud of their prices based on other courses in the greater area. Greens are in great shape. Bunkers could use a little more sand, but were playable.

Nice day, tough course, fantastic greens.
Nice day, tough course, fantastic and fast greens.
The greens are really nice and rolled true/fast, which made birdie putts and chip-ins very rewarding. Every shot requires thought and placement. Tees and fairways were also well-kept. The cart was from the modern era and it was powerful and comfortable. Saw a cart girl 3-4 times. That was nice. Finally ordered a drink from her on the back 9. This is a course to play when you’re in form. Tough shots everywhere.

5 1/2 hour round, saw 3 different 5 sums, no marshal, course is nice, 5 1/2 hours isn’t nice.
It’s a championship course.
Scenery, staff, design, maintenance and the price. It’s a good championship course. I played several championship courses in Hawaii, Kawaii, pebble beach, Half Moon Bay and San Diego and British Columbia, Philippines, Thailand and even Guam and Samoa. I don’t know why PGA or LPGA insist to have the championship games only in the back East or Arizona. The only problem the Ridge has is probably the transportation and accommodation. This is good for us, the ordinary players. We need to play golf here more. Thanks GolfNow for getting this golf club on your list.
