Sea Scape Golf Links
About
Sea Scape Golf Links in Kitty Hawk, N.C. is one of the premier courses on the Outer Banks. The course has the feel of a traditional Scottish links layout thanks to the seaside location and landscape of windswept dunes. The golf course differs from a classic open links design because of the coastal forests that accent the terrain, which provides some shelter from the ocean breezes. The vibrant blue waters contrast beautifully with the dark green treetops. The most challenging feature of the golf course is the constant up and down. Golfers will face uneven lies as well as blind shots. Sea Scape Golf Links is relatively short at 6,131 yards from the back tees but it plays longer due to the variety of elevation changes, which range from subtle to dramatic.

A blend of the best the OBX offers
As a single, I paired up with two members. The course condition showed signs of winter stress that all courses have varying degrees of carnage. Thankfully, the greens were great. No damage. Some patches of fairways were murdered. But, the course is very playable and enjoyable. Just a few areas. Some courses like Currituck faired much worse. The holes here bend both ways. There's more elevation change than you might expect for a beach course. I strongly recommend a round here. The only ding I have is no practice range. Just 1 putting green. Hey, real estate is primo here. If you need a country club, go join one. When the wind blows, the teeth come out. Beverage cart came around 3 times to check on you which is nice. I will be BACK.
Well-maintained Greens
Course is pleasantly challenging. Partial to the back 9 - prettier. Great clubhouse staff and super friendly bar with outdoor seating.
Fun layout
I went in as a single. The staff was very friendly, and got me off early. The course was in decent shape for early May. The greens were very good which I found most important. I really enjoyed the layout. It is not long, but with the wind it is plenty challenging. The price was low on golfnow. It was a great value. Go for it and enjoy!
Nice staff
Great course to play. Course wasn’t in top shape due to the harsh winter. Stafff was very helpful and friendly
OBX Golf
Used Golfnow, worked well and the staff was awesome making us feel welcome.
Fun and challenging course
My son and I drove down from Virginia to play this course on Saturday. The weather was great, and the course conditions were perfect. I’ll start off by saying that this course may be at the beach, but it is not flat. In fact, this course is more hilly than the ones at home. Greens were running very fast, so I’m glad I took some time on the practice green before heading out. I can’t think of one thing about the course, staff, or facilities that were anything less than 5-Star worthy. The pace was a little slow with a lot of groups on the course. I can’t blame them, it was two days after Thanksgiving and weather was in the 60s with only a slight breeze. My one complaint about the pace is actually on the group of course members behind us. They hit up on us more than once, including one shot on hole 11 that rolled between my legs as I was putting. No “fore” or apologies either. Very rude. As I mentioned, my son was with me so I wanted to demonstrate how to act properly on the course, which does not include getting in a screaming match or knocking their ball off the green, although it was tempting. We were partnered up with a course member who showed a lot of restraint. I am hoping he addressed the issue with the staff after the round. Other than that, it was a fun day and I will definitely be back.
Lots of fun
Interesting and challenging design. Greens were in great shape. Two or three fairways suffered from too much sun and not enough watering. Gotta' pay attention to slanting fairways. Overall, it's a fine course that provides lots of challenges and opportunities to score.
My Round at Seascape
As always, Seascape Golf Links was in outstanding condition, enjoyed the round.
Eh
I expected more for $100+ on a weekday. I made my time a week in advance, and while I'm standing there ready to pay they're booking times for the day-of for $90 which was a lot less than they charged me. Sent a 5-some out in front of us, fairways were not in good shape. If I paid $60-70 I'd give a better review. This course is not worth what they charge, or maybe what they charged me anyway....
Nice course and a great value
Got a chance to play again after over 10 years. Real nice layout. Scenic and fun to play. Staff was very friendly. Will definitely play again when at OBX.
Sea Scape Golf Review
I arrived early to hit a few range balls, but found out that the course has no driving range. I wanted to play as a single, and so did another golfer, but they paired three of us together due to tee times being tight. The play was slow (4 hours) due to it being busy. One of the staff played and was able to show me the course. The course was well kept and very challenging. I will definitely try it again next time I'm in town.
Nice Round
Course in good shape...greens pretty fast...played with two great guys. Drove up and staff member knew my name upon saying my tee time....starter friendly....pace of play pretty good....overrall nice experience. I will definitely play here again.
A lot of blind shots. Tough playing first time. Glad I had a sky caddie.
Short but challenging
What this course lacks in distance off the tee it makes up for in forcing strategic shot placement. Lay off the driver on many holes unless you want to carry the fairway bends.
