Nice course for the average gofer
Not particularly challenging for a low handicapper but perfect for our family who typically shoot in the 90s.
Misled
Under normal circumstances, I’m thinking this place is wonderful. Unfortunately, GolfNow did not clearly publish that there were several unforeseen circumstances that would have likely made us change our mind about golfing here before booking. For $114 a person, we played on a course that had freshly aerated greens which were very sandy as well as a closed front nine, so we had to play the back twice. The course had recently also been flipped where the front and back lines were changed so the online systems have not yet been flipped and it caused some confusion with signage and yardage for us. All of us combined, it was not a pleasant experience for the price paid. I hope this experience helps others understand some of the unforeseen circumstances that can occur using golf now.
The flipped the two nines
The decision was made to flip the two nines and it was a good one. Can’t wait to go back.
April at The Currituck Club
My friend and our two sons decided to golf while we were visiting Corolla, NC. As we are from Massachusetts this was our first time out this year.
The staff could not have been nicer or friendlier -- they were very helpful getting us set up including some range balls/tokens to warm up. The layout confused us at first; they switched opening holes from #1 to #10 but once we got started it was fine.
The rangers made sure the pace of play was good and we never really had to wait more than a few minutes to tee off. The course was challenging enough to go low for a mid-level golfer like me but still friendly enough for my 12 year old son to play without getting too frustrated.
We've played a few courses in OBX and this one was by far in the best condition for this early in the year. We would definitely play this one again!
Course was great and Brunch even better
Great course, played a couple of times Easter week and took advantage of the afternoon discount rate. Staff is great, Also played Seascape nearby (more of a links style). Preferred Currituck Club. On a side note, we had Easter Sunday brunch and the food was amazing!
Best of OBX
Early Spring is a tough time to play. Bermuda grass is still dormant. Greens get aerated. People are coming out to play. At Currituck club, the greens were punched but still fast and puttable. Not sandy. They have the most undulating greens around OBX. There's a lot of new sod on tee boxes and some bunkers removed last fall. All good improvements. All things considered, this is the best of the OBX at the moment.
Mostly good, but…
Nice course in good winter condition with a variety of challenges to make a worthwhile visit. The one massively irritating aspect is how far back the “no carts” signs are from the green. One hole is just asinine entirely banishing carts totally making for a just stupid walk uphill and long walk to get to any ball at all. No good reason, and for a person with a replaced hip, a very good reason not to return. Someone needs to be sacked for this factor. Would be back, but that will make me less likely to make my first choice. Not likely to refer others.
Winter golf
Course was in great shape for winter. Fairways were dormant brown but greens were close to normal and green. Outstanding Staff, very friendly and helpful.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We hope to see you back soon for another great experience!
Good Winter Golf
Playing golf on brown grass is not the best but our round at Currituck was better than most. Everything from check-in to lunch after our round was a pleasure. A comment on the personnel: the pro shop person was very friendly and helpful, and the server/bartender in the restaurant was superb- quick, friendly and efficient. Kudos to Currituck for maintaining an excellent facility.

Thank you for visiting us at The Currituck Club. We appreciate your wonderful rating. We hope you join us for another round soon.

Best off season golf I’ve done!
What an incredible experience start to finish. From the beautiful location, to the super friendly staff, and the course conditions for being the middle of winter were absolutely exceptional.
