Course was extremely dry when I played due to lack of rain, but it was an enjoyable experience. Since fairways were dry, the ball rolled and rolled...that's not a complaint.

Water comes into play on several holes and as with many Dye courses, the layout is pretty challenging on some holes.

Would play again.

The architecture of the course is great, however the maintenance and overall up keep leaves a lot to be desired. Even on the driving range, we had to wait for additional range balls (and there were not that many out on the range).

Very good course, fun and challenging at every turn. I would definitely recommend this course if you live in the area or just visiting. ASM- Md

Great staff, really nice facility, course is well maintained-best greens have played all year!, and challenging but fair.
Truly a country club attitude without the pretense, treated us like members!

Beautiful and interesting course with challenges off the tee, and around the green depending on the hole. The staff is extremely service oriented and friendly. The range and practice facilities are great, and the course is maintained in awesome condition. When we play in the evening the course has always been wide open.

I play this course several times a year and it was in very good shape. A couple of fairways and a few greens need some attention but overall I'd give it a solid 7.5/10 with 10 being Augusta National.
Greens were a tad slow but rolled very true with the bent-grass greens. I love bent-grass vs bermuda. Bermuda grass is for the golf course super, not for the golfers. Bent grass requires more attention and water but puts so much truer than Bermuda ever will.
Windermere is a great venue with a super clubhouse and friendly staff. Give it a play and you'll be glad you did.

I am not a very good golfer, but those who are, this course is still challenging. The distance is about that of the Pros. The course twist and turns. A lot of hazard. I think this course is a good judgement to see how you prepare your mental game. It was very challenging and a great course. The greens were aeroated, but still look a lot better then most course. In all this was excellent course with the friendly stafff as well.

I love this course. The greens is like walking on carpet. Very well kept. This is one of the best courses I have experience. Grade A+++

Great location and great value.
Oceanfront which is nice, especially on a good day. Greens are well maintained. Only thing I would suggest is maybe trimming the rough, it gets a bit hairy!!

Greens were in excellent shape.
We played just after a rather heavy downpour
and the course seem to drain well.

Excellent greens, not overly difficult. Good mix of challenging and forgiving holes. Everyone was exceptionally friendly.

Staff was very friendly and gave a lot of info about the course. The course layout is very scenic with lots of water views. Greens are a deal breaker for me and these were top notch and well maintained. Totally would recommend this course and will be going back soon when the opportunity presents itself.

The course has a wonderful layout with some visually pleasing holes as well as some challenging ones as well.
However, the course could use some maintenance. The grass was thin at times, with some "hardpan" on most holes. If the grass was not as sparse, the course would be, and could be, a really great course!

The course was terrible. The fairways were brown and did not provide any playable surface. The tee blocks were in very poor condition. We expressed our disappointment with the staff who wer dismissive and have obviously received similar comments recently. The Maters week is clearly a cash grab to in order to prepare the club for its members.

I liked the layout here-plenty of variety but the course was in poor condition (except for the greens). And since it was Masters week, we paid a premium to play here. Fairways and bunkers need significant attention to bring course to quality level.

I'm not sure when the other reviews were written for this course but the course was in bad shape overall and for the money it was not a good value at all.

Since it's still early April the fairways at this course have not turned fully green as of 4/07/13 Still lots of brown spots and so,so... conditions.However the greens were in really nice shape already,green and fast. In a matter of a few weeks,maybe days of some warmer weather this course will be great. Golf now saved our group about $20 per man,would go back there again.
