For the price you pay to play its not bad. Be aware there are hardly any cart paths and you will get slammed around if not careful. Gets very annoying. Greens are in okay shape. Some are better than others. Staff is great. Great place to play if you are new or just picked it back up. You get what you pay for. I will continue to play Hidden Valley, it can be a fun course with a little bit of a challenge.

Lots of potential
The course lay out was actually interesting. Some of the fairways and greens look like no one has paid any attention to them in over a month then some of the other fairways and greens are very well taken care of. In the end it was what we expected for the price.

I don't know...
First off, The staff was great. Rod in the pro shop was very friendly.
The course is rough shape. Like hungover, rough. If grass could flourish in that area and anything would grow I could see it being a sweet spot. But there are a few fairways you will just pick up on. Nearly bare, between the roots, sand, dirt and rocks.
And the greens seemed to run true if you have a line that doesn't run through all the crab grass.
If you do play, you might enjoy the track. I think it just needs a lot of love. Maybe rent your clubs.

Great Course
For the money you cannot beat this place. It was great, amenities were awesome, staff was friendly and the course was in great shape. Definitely will be back
Unplayable
To me it was not worth the drive, time and effort. Greens are non puttable, so I ended up just playing fairways and greens and not even bothering to putt. The course and cart paths are bumpy and rough all will beat you up while driving the cart. It's a very short course from the whites, irons and/or hybrid irons off the tee box. Blue tees will require driver and/or 3 wood into skinny fairways outlined by heavy woods on both sides. If in the area I would play this course just to work on tee shot and green approach shot accuracy.

Good for the price
Good for a practice round. Greens needed a little work. Staff was friendly. Price was appropriate.

The Valley
Always my favorite. The course always has a promotion going making it affordable. Never too busy, making it an option over other area courses. Greens are always thick and roll well in the summer. Hopefully the rest will come around with warm weather.
The fairways were horrible. The greens even worse. But you get what you pay for. Course was unacceptable and showed in the course conditions. Staff was friendly and accomodating, but the golfing experience left a lot to be desired.

Worst in town
Very rough conditions . Greens have lots of dead spots. Not worth going there.

Needs Help.
The course layout is good but unfortunately the course conditions are not. The course is currently having problems with greens and some fairways. Hopefully time will help to get the course back to good playing conditions. I'll eventually go back but it will be a while.

Poorly maintained
The greens are awful... and the course needs a lot of work... staff was friendly

Good value for the cost. Greens were fast but played well and the up-and-down layout is fun. Staff was friendly and helpful but the amenities (empty sand bottles, dry ball washers) need improvement

Ok course but GREAT staff
We came from Augusta to play and at first glance I was skeptical. But the staff was super friendly and accommodating to us. While some of the course needs work, I have paid more for worse courses in Hilton Head. As with most greens around here, there is poiana sprouting up. For the money it was a fun round for a bunch of hackers like us. I will be back.
Solid little place
I've played here once previously and it was many many years ago. You can tell they are working to improve the course. The staff was awesome, very friendly and helpful. Only problem with having such inexpensive golf now prices is you are going to deal with idiots who don't have a clue about golf etiquette and are there to blast music and get hammered. But you deal with that everywhere. I'll be back, since they are trying to make this course better.
