Good Overall
Course is good - one green in the back had some issues from the looks of things the green will improve. Bunkers could use some improvement, but for the price it was a good value
Beautiful plantation course
Nice level of challenge. Driving range, A lot of water! I would play here again for sure.
Wedgefield – Mosquito central.
The greens had lots of wild grass growing around it, and the fringe was no better. Mosquitoes were horrendous to the point it made playing unenjoyable.
Great layout
First time player. Course layout features good variety of holes, plenty of hazards to keep you on your toes. Overall condition was good, but they are currently fighting an issue on many greens, so putting was less than pure.
Even with some disappointment with the greens, the round was quite enjoyable. When the greens recover it will be a fantastic place to play!
First time pleasantly surprised
Nice course, beautiful views, good price and layout.
Only knock is that 3-4 greens have a ton of sand / under repair so we had to move our balls around and avoid that heavy repair. Would t have been an issue but they should have told us about it!
Disappointed
Beautiful course with a lot of potential. Absolutely no evidence of course maintenance. What a shame.
Good course, solid value.
I haven’t played Wedgefield in 10 years and it was such a pleasant surprise. It was in great shape, staff was very helpful and post round food excellent. I’ve read negative reviews here and I don’t know what course they played because Wedgefield is in great shape. Greens were true, fairways were green and good condition. Only complaint is the knucklehead golfers that didn’t rake the traps but that’s a problem everywhere. Overall a good experience, I look forward to playing it again.
Challenging course
Course is good condition, the best we have seen so far, greens ara almost perfect. We did like the many tee-offs, any golfer can find is spot. At least 2 holes are very challenging, 14 and 17, really a test for your skills and your judgement on the course.
Hidden gem
Played before improving every year.Except for
One green all were A1 ,tees and fairways great conditions for this time of the test.
