Village Greens Golf & Country Club
About
Village Greens Golf Club sprawls across over 100 acres of what used to be farmland situated between Inman and Gramling. Remnants of the old farm can be seen throughout the course, including pear trees from the original orchard that line the 10th fairway. When the golf course was built in 1969, many new trees were planted but much care was taken so as not to obstruct the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, providing nearly every hole with views that stretch from Glassy Mountain to Chimney Rock. The layout has a classic design that is playable for a wide range of skill levels. Sparkling lakes and ponds accent the landscape, coming into play on a few holes. Village Greens Golf Club's most memorable water hole is the course's signature sixth. This short par 3 features a semi-island green that is surrounded by water on two sides, along with three bunkers and out-of-bounds on the right.

Aeration
Golf Now should have indicated it was being aerated. The coarse was nice enough to give me a raincheck.
excellent conditions
Course was in excellent shape, both fairways and greens. Staff was friendly. Layout is challenging but not impossible. Fair test. Kind of course I could play all the time. Loved it. If you get a chance to play, do it. I think you will enjoy it.
Good value for the money
Well maintained and challenging course, enjoyed it very much. Also enjoyed the BBQ restaurant in the club house.
Good Day!
Course gets better everydy. Staff works hard to keep course in great shape. No better value around.
Greens were Great!!
First time played course. Greens best I played on this year. lay out is challenging. Could use some more ball washers. did not have to wait at all and this was on a weekend. never pushed to play. will go back and play again!
slow back 9
Front 9 - 1.5 hrs. Back - 2.5 hrs.. The course started 4 groups on the back right before we made the turn. We waited the rest of the day.
great experience
I love this course. its about a 40 minute drive but its worth it. every time I play this course i get excited it is laid out beautifully, and inexpensive enough to keep me coming back for more. not to mention some of the best barbecue at the clubhouse. the greens were my favorite part. Ive played a number of different courses in the upstate in the last month and anybody's greens looked this nice. book village greens and you will love it too.
This course is average
The greens was horrible because of all the leaves that had fallen on them and not blown off constantly! Staff was very friendly and had great proffesionalism.
village
greeens are always tough subtle speed changes on green nice course
Nice golf course
Nice course has a little of everything to help improve your game. Long par 3s, holes with water hazards, & holes that have doglags aslo. I will play this course again for sure. :-)
fun course
The course is in great shape and designed well. Definitely will play there again. It has some challenging holes but is a short course. Players need to be accurate off the tee.
Great Value
Course was in great shape considering it is March. Have had a lot of rain so grass was not perfectly conditioned nor were the greens. However, the course had a very good layout and is sloped properly. I played it with my brother in just under 3 hours. No delays and no waiting. Overall it was a great value and good course that I will return to as soon as possible.
Nice for the Winter
The course was maintained nicely for the winter, and the greens were also maintained nicely. The greens were challenging and fast which required some patience and thought.
Happy Golfer
Nice course, very good BBQ. Grass is still brown on 3/2. Great southern hospitality. Can't wait to come back when grass is green.
Nice Greens
Very windy. Couple Greens the ball would roll off the green if it didn't go in the hole. Play was slow.
Great course
Very accommodating staff. Dickies barbq restaurant is always great. Greens were in great shape for winter and so were fairways.
Village Greens is a fun, challenging course
Village Greens is a fun course, but a challenge, with all the water. The water is pretty, and glad it is there. There rate a few blind shots, so we are looking forward to our second time to play.
Short course, greens firm and putted true. Course was packed took around five hours to play.
Have played here several times in the past. For the most part the course does play short, just keep it in the fairway. Has a few sharp doglegs that are fun to play. Some short par three's over water. 18 is a par five that for most players should be a three shot hole it is a long way to the dogleg left. The course web site has a hole by hole summery to help you know what you are getting into on each hole and the best plan of attack. The club house has a BBQ joint in it called Dicky's.
