About
Village Greens Golf Club sprawls across over 100 acres of what used to be farmland situated between Inman and Gramling. Remnants of the old farm can be seen throughout the course, including pear trees from the original orchard that line the 10th fairway. When the golf course was built in 1969, many new trees were planted but much care was taken so as not to obstruct the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, providing nearly every hole with views that stretch from Glassy Mountain to Chimney Rock. The layout has a classic design that is playable for a wide range of skill levels. Sparkling lakes and ponds accent the landscape, coming into play on a few holes. Village Greens Golf Club's most memorable water hole is the course's signature sixth. This short par 3 features a semi-island green that is surrounded by water on two sides, along with three bunkers and out-of-bounds on the right.

Great course
In spite of a very wet season the course was in great shape. However, there were lots of grass clippings in the fairway. Bunkers were wet but what else would you expect with all the rain that we have had. I played this course many years ago and it is unbelievable at the improvements that have been made over the years. Great job!
Great value for this course
The course was in really good condition, and we received a great rate for 18 holes. We were told in the club house to start at number 10. After we finished the first 9 and were suppose to start on number 1, we were told by the golf ranger that we were originally suppose to start on 1. Even though we were told inside that we were to start on 10, I apologized to him for starting on the wrong hole. I apologized three times for this, but the ranger continued to badger me on the fact that my father and I had started on the wrong hole. I know that he has a job to do, but when someone apologies 3 times for something that in reality was not their fault, it's ok to not make a huge deal of the situation(especially when it was not holding anyone up). After we came into the club house and brought this up to the pro, the ranger actually smiled. Overall, we had a great day and the golf course is in good shape.
My tee time did not show up on course registry list. But staff honored my proof on my phone.
Golfnow needs to work the kinks out with setting tee times. Mine did not show at course and it took way too long to approve it by phone. Every time I try to book on mobile app it says there was an error.
Very nice, well-maintained course.
I thought this course was just challenging enough for the average golfer. The greens were in good shape. The tee markers weren't always placed in a position to have the most level ground, but that was a minor issue.
Enjoyed my round of golf at Village Greens.

great course
got teamed up with 3 others. 2 of them were beginers so that made for having a little patience. one of them would just pick up after a few shots so that made it better. at the turn they inserted a 3 some in front of us. it was ok because the group in front of us decided to take a lunch break, but the course did not know that was going to happen so I don't like when they do that. the course is in very good shape. overall a good round.
If you dont hit the long ball this course is for you.

That time of the year
Have played the course many times but this is the first time this year. Was a little disappointed in the fairways and greens but likely due to the time of year. During peak golf season course is typically in good condition.

Great experience
Excellent condition for time of year. The course is challenging enough to offer entertainment for all levels of play; it has an excellent mix of water and elevation changes. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the course.
