About
Village Greens Golf Club sprawls across over 100 acres of what used to be farmland situated between Inman and Gramling. Remnants of the old farm can be seen throughout the course, including pear trees from the original orchard that line the 10th fairway. When the golf course was built in 1969, many new trees were planted but much care was taken so as not to obstruct the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, providing nearly every hole with views that stretch from Glassy Mountain to Chimney Rock. The layout has a classic design that is playable for a wide range of skill levels. Sparkling lakes and ponds accent the landscape, coming into play on a few holes. Village Greens Golf Club's most memorable water hole is the course's signature sixth. This short par 3 features a semi-island green that is surrounded by water on two sides, along with three bunkers and out-of-bounds on the right.

greens like lightning
The greens are dormant bermuda and extremely fast. Plus the holes were placed near edges and on a number of holes if you got more an a foot or so past the hole it rolled off the green. I putted it off at least three times and I am a 4 handicap. If you were above the hole you could not get it to stop anywhere near the hole even if you just touched the ball. Also they need a course map on the card, there are a number of blind tee shots and on a few there was reachable water across the fairway.

Great value course
This course was great at this price point. Because of the weather, the course was relatively empty. Moreover, the grass was somewhat dormant due to the winter chill. The greens were in great shape, and the bunkers were well-kept. The fairways were cut nicely, and there were not many spots with standing water or bare portions. The layout was fun and moderately challenging. Some tight fairways and a lot of water to make you think about your shot. A fun way to spend your time if you're in the area.

Great place to play
One of the most enjoyable courses in SC upstate. The course is always in good condition and very playable. It can sometimes hold water which often makes it cart path only. If that's my biggest complaint about a course, I'll live. Really enjoy playing here. Scoring a hot time and paying $15 is a no brainer.

Great course
Great course and staff are friendly. The restaurant and bar area is great. The only concern I have with the course is they allow walkers to tee off during peak times on Saturday. Example is that I was teeing off with my group at 9 and a set of walkers teed off at 830. Adds at-least an hour to the round.

The course starts with very friendly staff and proceeds to a very nice and challenging course. The greens well kept as are the fairways and tee boxes.

Great course
A short course but with some vicious fast and undulate greens. Few dog legs holes. All in good condition. A pleasure to play.
