About
Village Greens Golf Club sprawls across over 100 acres of what used to be farmland situated between Inman and Gramling. Remnants of the old farm can be seen throughout the course, including pear trees from the original orchard that line the 10th fairway. When the golf course was built in 1969, many new trees were planted but much care was taken so as not to obstruct the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, providing nearly every hole with views that stretch from Glassy Mountain to Chimney Rock. The layout has a classic design that is playable for a wide range of skill levels. Sparkling lakes and ponds accent the landscape, coming into play on a few holes. Village Greens Golf Club's most memorable water hole is the course's signature sixth. This short par 3 features a semi-island green that is surrounded by water on two sides, along with three bunkers and out-of-bounds on the right.

Great course value
Slow play and goose droppings were the only negatives.

Conditions
They should inform players before making tee times the greens had been recently punched and sanded. Putting was terrible.

Punched Greens
Golf now did a very poor job notifying me the course punched the greens.

Ok
Got to course in time but a little behind with tee times. By the third hole a group had turned into a seven some and basically slowed the whole golf course. We were not aware about the greens being aerated when we book tee time

Great time
Course was in really good shape. Even with the greens just being punched they putted decent (only downside to the round). Would love to play again when they’re healthy.

all staff very helpful! But exceptional memory of Bob in the pro shop, Mark helping me orient, Kelly and Haley in the restaurant. The course was challenging!!!!

Course in great shape
First time back in over a year and the course is in great shape. Fairways were nice and greens in great condition. Bar staff friendly and accommodating.

I’ve been playing village greens for 35 years. This is probably the best shape I’ve seen it. Everyone was very friendly; guy behind the counter, the starter and waitress at mulligans restaurant.

Played here 6 months ago. Course drastically much better
Course in very good shape. Course much better than late August when we were last here. Drive the ball well here. OB and water await on miss hit shots. My two playing partners disliked the 18 th hole. Other than that those two had no complaints. Above the hole be very careful. Putts or chip shots can travel farther than you expect. On the 16 th - one of my partners had a uphill chip from below the hole, he left it maybe 4 feet shot and it rolled back to his feet. Chip was from 30 or so feet. Par 3’s are very good here. 3 of the par 5’s are reachable in 2 with good tee shots then there is that 18 th hole as the 4 th one. Yardage is accurate and I recommend giving Village Green a try. Hit your tee shots well and stay below the hole.
