About
Village Greens Golf Club sprawls across over 100 acres of what used to be farmland situated between Inman and Gramling. Remnants of the old farm can be seen throughout the course, including pear trees from the original orchard that line the 10th fairway. When the golf course was built in 1969, many new trees were planted but much care was taken so as not to obstruct the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, providing nearly every hole with views that stretch from Glassy Mountain to Chimney Rock. The layout has a classic design that is playable for a wide range of skill levels. Sparkling lakes and ponds accent the landscape, coming into play on a few holes. Village Greens Golf Club's most memorable water hole is the course's signature sixth. This short par 3 features a semi-island green that is surrounded by water on two sides, along with three bunkers and out-of-bounds on the right.

very nice staff very poor greens and tee boxes
yes the greens were aerated a few weeks ago but that wasn’t the issue … they were just very poor. several had sand filled divots or weedy areas or patches of missing grass … terrible. again the staff was super so nice complaints there, it’s just that the course is in rough shape. also the 18th hole is the worst hole i’ve ever played anywhere.

Nice Course
Good value, the only down was the greed were a bit under repair and very sandy. They still player true to the breaks and once the fully grow back in, probably mid August they will be in fine condition. I enjoy playing this course.
Enjoyable
Enjoyed 18 holes at Village Greens. Like the openness of the course, the casual atmosphere in the rural setting. Golfers were well mannered and dressed appropriately and pace of play good. Look forward to returning to walk course, as the layout and rolling hills lend to walking 18 holes! Great time!

Slow pace
Course is in great shape even with recently punched greens.
Only complaint is pace of play can definitely be improved. Starter but no ranger. Add ranger, course will play much faster.
Highly recommend Village Greens for a bit of a challenge and bang for the buck!

Conditions
They should inform players before making tee times the greens had been recently punched and sanded. Putting was terrible.

Golf now did a very poor job notifying me the course punched the greens.

Ok
Got to course in time but a little behind with tee times. By the third hole a group had turned into a seven some and basically slowed the whole golf course. We were not aware about the greens being aerated when we book tee time

Great time
Course was in really good shape. Even with the greens just being punched they putted decent (only downside to the round). Would love to play again when they’re healthy.
