About
The Preserve at Verdae sprawls across a lush landscape of rolling hills and meadows covered with beautiful Carolina forests. Formerly known as Verdae Greens, the golf course was completely revamped but one of the primary goals of the renovation was to find harmony between golf and nature. The carefully reworked course does just that, blending seamlessly into its scenic surroundings. Rambling brooks wander across the layout and provide water hazards on a few holes. The wind is also a major factor on this golf course. The breezes can be either light and refreshing or strong and blustery, making proper club selection even more important. The most photographed hole on the golf course is the par-3 second. If you're lucky enough to come when the azaleas are blooming, this hole offers a breathtaking setting.

Disappointed but enjoyable
Price was too much considering the back nine was closed .I understand that the course a week ago had a considerable amount of flood damage.Only if I would have known ahead of time I would not have played it .The front nine was really nice but I felt like we should have been informed prior to scheduling a tee time .The wait when we made the turn was terribly mismanaged .The starter made us wait when making our turn at 9 for a foursome and a twosome to tee off and the pace of play wasn’t managed at all .just my $.02 !!!

Handicap access poor
Too many tee boxes with stone steps and no handrailS several greens accessible only via foot bridges for handicapped persons. Needs to accommodate at vey least solo carts and handrails for walkers.

Slow but enjoyable
The course was in very good condition for this time of year. It was very slow which was partially due to being cart path from the rain the previous day, and partially due to how often the tee times are (8 min). The course is challenging and fun to play

Haven't Been Back in 3 Years...and Won't Be Back
I just got an email to leave a review, so here it is..
First of all, the last/only time I played this course was 3 years ago in late March. That being said, here's my Google Review from back then. Oh, they must not look at their Google Reviews or don't care to respond to their patrons because I've never heard from them.
Very nice course, although I was very disappointed with one thing. I came at 3:30 in the afternoon and paid for 18 holes. I was up against a time constraint and had to leave by 6:30. Unfortunately, play was slow and there was no ranger to enforce pace of play. I figured since I only played 9 holes they would oblige and give me a rain check to come back (I assume they want returning golfers) the next evening and finish. Although the gentleman was nice in the clubhouse, he told me that because I had paid a twilight rate of $25 I could not get a rain check. I didnt argue, but Golf Now anvertises a 9 hole and an 18 hole rate at that time. I paid the 18 hole rate. I was really looking forward to playing the other 9 holes as it is a nice course. Unfortunately, because I dislike this policy as it is not very customer friendly, I doubt I will return. Letting me play 9 holes the next evening would have gone a long way in keeping a golfer.

Over booked!
I love the course but had to quit at number 11. There was literally 3 different groups sitting on the same tee box. To make matters worse they had a high school tournament starting behind us. I sat on the tee box for 15 minutes, got frustrated and then hit a bad tee shot. There was two groups sitting behind me so I didn’t want to embarrass myself any further. Lol.
Of course the bad tee shot was on me but we all hate the slow play!
