The first tee is a daunting shot but will prepare you well for what's to come. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 09/02/2018

Some of the bunkering is pretty extreme, so I really recommend staying out of ones like this one on the par-3 3rd. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 09/02/2018

The par-3 6th will test your mid iron accuracy. But landing on the green is only have the battle. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 09/02/2018

You don't have to be that accurate to land on the 17th green but your first putt could be quite adventurous! Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 09/02/2018

Perhaps the most intimidating tee shot on the course, the 18th's fairway is pretty generous once you reach it. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 03/17/2018

Unusual, but challenging must play in Sandhills area
Having played this course about a dozen times our group has grown to love it ( except Terry). Playing it for the first time was difficult with blind shots and left us shaking our heads sometimes, but once the round ended we remarked how enjoyable the course was. We play it every time we are in NC and would not miss it. Don't let the yardage fool you , you will use every club in your bag. It starts with the opening tee shot right to the final approach at 18, this course will keep you thinking. Definitely a must play !
What a Gem
Tobacco Road should be on everyone's bucket list. Although, you may want to make sure you bring some extra golf balls. This course is carved through the dunes and even presents quite the challenge for experienced golfers.
