Beautiful setting on ocean.
Enjoyed the round of golf. Tee boxes and greens in great shape for winter round. Best view around.
This course is a beautiful and well maintained course.
Fantastic layout, friendly and accommodating staff. Perfect course for all handicaps. 17th hole was our favorite! We will be back again!
The staff treats guests poorly
I golfed Patriots Point Links with my 10 yr old son. We were screamed at by the Marshal when we drove on the fairway. The hole was not marked cart path only, there was no mention by the starter and nothing stated on the score card. When I mentioned it to the front desk they didn't care.
If good service is a factor in your golfing decision, I would steer clear of Patriots Point Links!
Great track!
I played twice and both times under different conditions, the first time there was no wind so if I hit it straight then it was center of the fairway and no problems, greens were spectacular. The second time, the wind was howling and it was pushing shots destined for the center, all over the place, so this lead to more decisive shot selections, but the course still played fair. The rough, if you can call it that, was very easy to hit out of and the greens held well.
My only negative was the lack of courtesy to single players, maybe a ranger could help with that as I was stuck behind a threesome for nine holes, but the day was gorgeous so I just hit two balls on every hole.
I would say overall, a must play when in Charleston and if possible, play twice under different conditions each time
great layout. terrible condition
I've played here several times, never seen the greens this bad. nice layout, good views. I'll be back, just not right away.
Course in great condition; greens fast; fairways were good
Great value; pace of play was good; staff very friendly and helpful
This course has everything you'd want in a golf course.
The atmosphere is relaxing. The scenery is breathtaking. And the course is always immaculate. The signature hole #17 is an island par three that challenges all skilled level golfers. I recommend if you are visiting or living in Charleston, SC to pay this course a visit. You won't regret it!
great shape for winter play
Course is in great shape for winter play. Sand was immaculate :-) Greens are slow and a little fuzzy; can't wait to play it with faster greens
Awesome course with difficult holes and beautiful view of charleston
Course was very challenging on the back nine with difficult pin placement staff was very profressional besides having our golf cart die it was a very enjoyful afternoon and will return to this course soon.
Great views of the Harbor from 16,17 and 18. Tough par 13 17th hole - you need to be pricise with yor tee shot and hold the green.
Enjoyed the course, nice condition, great value, staff very friendly
A must play for visitors of the Charleston Area
The back nine has some of the most beautiful views in the Charleston Area. Front nine not nearly as challenging as back nine. Fairways and greens were great, but the sand is like hitting off concrete. Staff is great.
Course is made better by it's location
This is a nice average course that becomes very attractive and beautiful as you get on the back 9 and experience some dramatic views of Charleston Harbor.
I plan on returning to this course real soon as the day I played it was unseasonaly cold and extra windy.
Links Course in the South
This course is exactly what you would of expect out of a links course. Alot of room for error, however good amount of water hazard you will need to consider. Great Island green par 3!!!! Fantastic hole that shots out into Charleston Harbor. Excellent practice facilities, and course seems to always be maintained well in my eyes. However price seems to be high for this course. Its an excellent course but there are better maintained course with greater difficulty that are cheaper to play at. Does not seem they offer hot deals and low prices very often so if you can book for reasonable price you will not be dissappointed.
Back nine very nice, lots of character, view of harbor
Front nine nice lots of bunkering, white sand. Back nine is challenging. Should have a local with you for knowledge of hazards. #17 island green, if wind blowing take extra club.
This course was reccomended by the pro shop at Wild Dunes. I was looking for a competitive, reasonably close and value orientated golf course.
Nice course, played from the back tees as always. I wanted to select a nice facility since it was my son's 18th birthday. The day we played in rained on and off 3-4 times. The most dissappointing part of the day was when we approached the ocean holes, it started to downpour and it was impossible to continue play. So we missed playing holes 16-18 :( . I was soooo looking forward to these finishing holes as I opted to play here than play the ocean course at Wild Dunes. They had a tounament going on at WD so I drove to this venue. Unfortnately we didn't have the time to wait it out since we were on vacation on borrowed time ( it's called marriage ) and the family was waiting on us to finish. Over all I was satisfied with the course and it was well worth the discount thru GolfNow.com. I am a huge fan of saving money and discovered Last Minute Golf 11 years ago when in Hilton Head on vacation during the annual Harbor Towne event. A southern gentleman in the elevator told me about how to save 50% or more during the week on great golf courses. Well I have never looked back and rarely pay full price to play a golf course because I can usually always find a great bargain fairly close by.
My reccomendation for Patriots Point Links at Charleston Harbor gets a thumbs up! RGC,JR.
Living on Past Glory
I used to play this course 10 years ago and always loved it. Now they have jacked up the prices and the course isn't as nice. Thankfully, I payed a discount price through GolfNow. I would never pay full price for this course. Good luck finding a yardage marker and even some of the Tee Boxes aren't marked. The day I played, they had the front 9 closed, so we played the back 9 twice. At least it was the back 9 which includes the signature 17th. The views of the harbor are great, but that's about the best aspect of the course.
Not bad, but didn't knock my socks off..
Front nine was easy flat and boring, The back was much harder and had more character, 17 and 18 were only holes along the water... Probably would skip this one on my next visit, but it wasn't bad...
Amazing views, forgiving design.
The course is wide open, which makes errant shots recoverable. Greens are fast, but there are not many large slopes. The views of Charleston harbor are amazing on the back nine.
