The Golf Club at Star Fort sits near the site of a Revolutionary battle known as the Assault at Star Fort. The golf course offers a family-friendly layout surrounded by the region's rich history. The player-friendly design is gentle enough for junior players and beginners, but it's also great for more advanced players who are looking for a quick round. It will surprise you with a few challenges too. At 6,952 yards, the golf course isn't terribly long but there are still some good driving holes. There are some interesting risk-reward par 5s and some fun par 3s that will make you think. Star Fort's final hole is a par 4 that requires accuracy over distance since you'll have to weave through two ponds before facing an uphill shot to a well bunkered green.

Play the Fort
Greens were in great shape. Nice course layout. Fairway grass a little thin but okay.
Great value
It's a long course with a very nice layout. The greens were some of the best I've play on. Every sand trap was well maintained in perfect shape. The downside to this course is the fairways,they are only so-so. Overall, I enjoyed playing this course and will be back to play again.
Great Place
Staff met us in the parking lot with a cart. Let us go early. Had the place to ourselves for about 5 holes. Great layout and Greens were perfect. Lots of stuff in the pro shop and good food in Bar.

Enjoyed 18 around the Golf Club at 96. Will certainly return.
Nice Staff
Staff friendly Course in not so good shape Have played there several times when course was in real good shape. Don't know why it isn't now
Extremely difficult
The course plays extremely long and with many dog legs. The greens are very fast, hilly, and extremely hard to read. You must place your ball in the correct spot on the green or be faced with impossible putts. This course is not for beginners unless you wish to shoot 130-150 score. I will never return for these reasons.
Great course for group outings
really enjoyed this course, but tee boxes should be marked
Challenges on every fairway
Great course played in rain but still enjoyed it. Wish there was a hole layout on scorecard. Very well taken care of, cart paths were in need of repairs. Don't play golf on cart path so not a big deal. Hope to play here again with sun and dryer course.
Good course to play
Only problem I saw was cart paths need some work. Greens are fast, but in good shape. Great check in time. Friendly staff.
Disappointed
While the fairways were in very good condition, the greens had some areas that were not. Our tee time was 10:30 on a weekday. Play on the front 9 was interrupted by course workers mowing and sweeping the fairways. My drive on hole #2 landed in the middle of the fairway. But we found it in the rough 50 yards from the tee box after the sweeper dragged it. Too much noise and distraction disrupted play on the front. The back was enjoyable.
Greens in great shape
Course was not in better shape than last time we played. too much weed are all over place. Cart path are in bad shape.
Greens in Excellent shape!
The staff was great and the course was in excellent shape. My hat is off to the entire staff at this facility. Will definitely book a return visit.
The course was in great condition
The course was in great condition the greens were fast but rolled very true. The bunkers were soft and fluffy. My son and I had a great time during our round.

The greens at this course we're better than expected. Liked the layout.

The greens at Star Fort have never disappointed me. The greens are in great shape. Its a fun place to play.
Review
Loved the course very excellent but be prepared for 8hrs for 18 holes. They let groups of 6-8 out on course and no one will let you play through poor poor pace of play
Great course
The greens were nearly perfect, the fairways were ok. I was a little surprised by the shape of the club house, but everything else was good. Especially the greens. The bunkers, unfortunately I got more experience playing out of these than I'd care for, were also well kept. The Green's keeper gets an A+

With everything you described you should have given 5 stars.You shouldn't downgrade the course cause you don't have enough skills to score good.
