The Golf Club at Star Fort sits near the site of a Revolutionary battle known as the Assault at Star Fort. The golf course offers a family-friendly layout surrounded by the region's rich history. The player-friendly design is gentle enough for junior players and beginners, but it's also great for more advanced players who are looking for a quick round. It will surprise you with a few challenges too. At 6,952 yards, the golf course isn't terribly long but there are still some good driving holes. There are some interesting risk-reward par 5s and some fun par 3s that will make you think. Star Fort's final hole is a par 4 that requires accuracy over distance since you'll have to weave through two ponds before facing an uphill shot to a well bunkered green.

Great course and layout! The staff is very courteous as well.
Long, but fair
The course seems to play long, but if you can drive the ball it plays fair. The only down side would be the cart paths could use work in several places. The course and greens were in great shape though!!
Excellent and challenging
Great course, difficult greens in places and well maintained. You will not find better golf for the money. Course has some very difficult down hill lies and it's best to play the safe shots.
Nicencheap
I play this course frequently and always use Golf Now, $10 to $18 for 18 holes with cart is a great deal. Enjoyable layout and challenging, in good condition. Pace of play is normally good just played 18 on 5/29/17 in 4 hours. I normally play every Friday, family commitments considering.
Nice course
Slow play,, they need marshals to help with play. So aggravating to have group in front of you with 2 open holes in front of them and they do not let you play through. VERY RUDE!
A Gem for the Price
Greens in terrific shape, fairways fine. Although they could cut a few more spots of the rough, where tall gorse eats balls that *should* be findable (darnit). Terrific, friendly staff in the Pro Shop and bar.

Good ole golf course
I live in Augusta and with the Golfnow rate, it's worth drive to Greenwood. Greens are always in good condition and are very putter friendly. Nice old style course

Star fort is a drivers course, which I love. Great layout, friendly staff, amenities are awesome, I will play this course many many times again!

Great Course at a Very Good Price
I always enjoy playing this course. It is in excellent condition and has a very nice pace of play. The people are friendly and welcoming. It has an excellent driving range that is well-maintained. This course is worth your time and effort to play.
Great layout
This is one of the best designed courses in the Midlands of SC. All holes are challenging but fair. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The greens are dormant this time of the year but still putt very true. The one area that could use some work would be the cart paths.This course is a great value and I enjoy it every time I play it.

This was my first time playing here but it won't be my last. Course was in good shape. The greens were running very fast. Everyone was very friendly.

Great Course
It's a long course for a Senior who does not hit long balls. Its laid out out very nice. The greens were some of the best I've played on. Every sand trap was well maintained and in great shape. The downside to this course is the fairways, they are thin in some areas and the Cart paths need repaving. Overall, I enjoyed playing this course and will be back to play again.
