About
Santee Cooper Country Club is the sister course to Lake Marion, which sits less than 15 minutes away. Both courses are known for their exceptional greens that offer fast, smooth putting surfaces. The course wanders through the forests of majestic pines and native vegetation that border Lake Marion. The fairways are lined with trees and form twisting doglegs that can be quite tricky to navigate. The layout consists of an interesting mix of holes including challenging par 3s and risk-reward par 5s, which are all spread across a variety of different elevation changes. It is a golf course that will test your skills with different shot requirements, so be prepared to use every club in your bag. Santee Cooper Country Club finishes with one of the best closing holes in the area, which is partly memorable for its beautiful panoramic view of the lake.

Discontinued Relationship w/GolfNow
Tee time wasn't entered into their system because the staff stated that they had discontinued their relationship with GolfNow. Staff honored by prepaid GolfNow Confirmation and got me onto the course within minutes of my scheduled tee time along with another couple that was in a similar situation. Call the pro shop before booking through GolfNow for this course.
Nice short fun course
Bit rough round the edges but a fun shirt course to enjoy as a time filler.
Great experience
First time at Santee Cooper. Course in great shape. Pro shop folks were extremely friendly and helpful. Paired up with 3 guys who were very welcoming and explained each hole and how to try to play it. Will definitely return!
Challenging course.
Tight sloping greens with some weed issues, but doesn't detract from the challenge. You really need to consider ball placement in the approach. Definitely will be back.
Disappointed
Staff was great as they worked our 3-some on the course after someone stole our tee time..we arrived only a few minutes early. Course was disappointing and over priced. Limited grass on fairways and untreated weeds growing in greens. Very little sand in bunkers. Won’t play again.
Lot's of fun holes
Very fun course, looks like a foursome had it backed up in front of us. Wish a ranger would have suggested us play thru.
Nice course
Very well maintained fairways and greens. Tight lies on fairways make Bermuda grass less troublesome in most cases. Bunker sand was a bit coarse and thin for my taste but certainly playable. Convenient and clean restrooms on both nines. Warm up bucket included with green fees. Definite keeper!
Friendly Staff
Played this morning and I thought the course was in great shape. The staff was very friendly as usual And I definitely recommend playing there. It was worth the drive from North Charleston.
Bang for your Buck
This course is a joy to play. It is a good course to play and challenging at times.
But for the money, I would recommend this course to play..
Santee ‘2’ Thumbs Up
Staff were hospitable, course was very challenging, elevation throughout especially around the greens, greens were faster than they appear, cheap price, worth the 1hr each way drive to play at this course.
Family Day
Played this course for the first time with my wife and brother. The course was challenging and rewarding. The only issue was that on one hole they had a sprinkler issue. Had a great time and would definitely recommend this course
