Golfer Reviews
Specials
Wish you guys had more specials don’t play as much here due to being the most pricey of all the public courses and you guys charge 15 dollars to bring my kid when all the other courses don’t charge
Golf rate communication breakdown
I live in Rancho Cucamonga.
I called this course on Thursday abd asked what their Senior weekday rate was. They told me $39. Next day (Friday)I played abd they charged me $50. I asked isn’t your rate $39 for Seniors. At this time they informed me weekdays are Mon- Thur. Awhhhhhhhhh#%}{{[[[
Greens and bunkers that are very challenging
Very challenging course. Bunkers that are Maneaters all over as well as very slopy greens. Awesome layout and Island green to finish a par 5 to finish your day
Tee time spacing
The time frame between tee times were horrible!
Had 4-5 4somes ahead of us, had to skip 3 holes to pass everyone up and it became clear as can be after those groups!0
Great unique layout, every hole is different
This is one of my favorite courses, no two holes are the same, they are all very unique and different vrs a cookie cutter course. It is a links layout with many large bunkers which can make the course challenging so try and stay out of them, the back 9 is very strong, especially holes #10-11. #18 is a good par 5 with an island green, Riverlakes also has one of the best driving ranges around and its all grass! Only bummer today was the restaurant was closed due to covid and the food is always good and servers very friendly
Good enough but should be better.
My most recent experience is that the grass was heavily watered and was also a little tall. It doesn’t seem that they are investing enough to keep it like it should be. It’s not in bad shape it’s just average and should be above average.
You get what you pay for
I was able to play RiverLakes for $18.75 so it was worth it. With that being said, I do no think I will be coming back any time soon. The reviews are pretty accurate on Yelp for the course. The course is abused by novice golfers as evident by the greens. A lot of the holes do not have proper blue/black tee boxes marked which seems like a fairly simple thing to ask for. If you are using a cart there are multiple confusing parts of the path with little to no direction. The 18th is interesting. The green is surrounded by water with roughly 30 dead fish floating at the surface with the smell that matches such a sight.
Crammed Golfing
Arrived 45 minutes prior to our tee time to practice at the facilities on the course, when we arrived at the 1st tee box for check in a few minutes before tee off we get directed to pair up with another group of golfers with another foursome already waiting to tee off. We all were given the same tee times.. a frustrating way to start off a morning round on a Wednesday of all days. River Lakes needs to pay more attention to spacing out golfers and tee times rather than cramming any and everybody onto the links just to make their $$$!
Sunday afternoon golf
It was a great golf deal we had. Course was tough for us today. Greens were sticking and rolling pretty true. We all enjoyed the afternoon stroll and leisure play. Can’t wait to try it again.
